TL;DR: In this article, a portable computer capable of facilitating management of actual photo-image in association with each other, thereby remarkably expanding the application range of the actual phot-image data.
Abstract: The present invention provides a portable computers capable of facilitating management of actual photo-image in association with each other, thereby remarkably expanding the application range of the actual phot-image data. The portable computer is connectable directly or through a memory medium to the main computer in a fixed base. The portable computer comprises: a digital camera detachably provided for successively taking actual photo-images; position specifying identification data setting means for setting identification data to specify at least one of photographing related positions consisting of a position of an object for photography taken by said digital camera and a position where photography was taken by said digital camera; and actual photo-image data memory means for storing the identification data set by said position specifying identification data setting means in association with actual photo-image data outputted from the digital camera.

TL;DR: In this paper, a system and method for using scripts and selectable feature parameters to configure digital camera device features is presented, which includes memory storing scripts and an interface enabling a user to modify feature settings, a port connectable to a host computer for modifying or adding scripts to the memory, and a script manager for interpreting the scripts and the feature settings.
Abstract: A system and method for using scripts and selectable feature parameters to configure digital camera device features. The digital camera includes memory storing scripts for providing digital camera device features, an interface enabling a user to modify feature settings, a port connectable to a host computer for modifying or adding scripts to the memory, and a script manager for interpreting the scripts and the feature settings. The digital camera further includes an imaging device for generating a digitized image, and image processors for enhancing the digitized image according to the scripts and the selected feature settings. The digital camera still further includes command handlers for configuring the imaging device and the image processors according to the scripts and the feature settings.

TL;DR: In this article, a transformation between the dust map and the specific lens calibration table, enables the use for a single dust map in multiple instances of lenses and focal length, without the need to recalibrate the digital camera for each instance.
Abstract: A digital camera that automatically corrects dust artifact regions within acquired images by compiling a dust map includes an optical system for acquiring an image with a corresponding dust calibration table for such optical system, including a lens assembly and an aperture stop, in which the corresponding dust calibration map can reside. A transformation between the dust map and the specific lens calibration table, enables the use for a single dust map in multiple instances of lenses and focal length, without the need to recalibrate the digital camera for each instance.

TL;DR: In this paper, a digital camera is used to scan documents and generate a corresponding digital output signal, and a data processor receives the digital output signals and generates corresponding index information, which are then stored on one or more optical disks for search and retrieval.
Abstract: A digital camera is used to scan documents and generate a corresponding digital output signal, and a data processor receives the digital output signal and generates corresponding index information. The video and index information are then stored on one or more optical disks for search and retrieval.

TL;DR: In this article, a cell phone and cell phone monitoring system is described, where the cell phone includes at least one hot button or voice executable command which instructs the phone to acquire digital image data from an associated digital camera and optionally other data and send the data to a pre-set number representing the monitoring system.
Abstract: A cell phone and cell phone monitoring system is disclosed, where the cell phone includes at least one hot button or voice executable command which instructs the phone to acquire digital image data from an associated digital camera and optionally other data and send the data to a pre-set number representing the monitoring system. The monitoring system then determines whether an emergency situation exists and takes appropriate measures. A method is also disclosed for contacting emergency services upon determination of an emergency situation.
