TL;DR: In this paper, information for transmission is received in the form of a digital signal, electrical or optical, which is converted into short signal fragments, each of which is assigned an index.
Abstract: In a transmitter, information for transmission is received in the form of a digital signal, electrical or optical, which is converted into short signal fragments, each of which is assigned an index A transmitter module (54) distributes this fragments to one or more receivers through a number of available communication channels (55, 61, 56, 60), the choice of channel depending on the capacity and availability of the particular transmision channel In the receiver, the signal fragments are coordinated according as they are controlled by means of their indices, to produce a signal capable of generating an information display

30 Jun 1999TL;DR: In this article, a signal including an RF signal and a code division multiple access signal is transmitted so that the receiving end can obtain a signal having sufficiently larger power as compared with noise and with no distortion.
Abstract: A signal including an RF signal and a code division multiple access signal is transmitted so that, in relation to both of the RF signal and the code division multiple access signal, a receiving end can obtain a signal having sufficiently larger power as compared with noise and with no distortion. In order to attain this object, a separation part separates the signal into the RF signal and the code division multiple access signal at a sending end. An amplification part amplifies the RF signal with an amplification factor related to its power. An amplification part amplifies the code division multiple access signal with an amplification factor related to its power. A combination part combines the amplified RF signal and the amplified code division multiple access signal with each other.

TL;DR: In this article, a theft alarm system for use in combination with a digital signal PBX telephone system, includes a plurality of electronic tethers connected to individual pieces of protected equipment, automatically detected by a local security monitor which reports the condition to a central security controller via the PBX system.
Abstract: A theft alarm system for use in combination with a digital signal PBX telephone system, includes a plurality of electronic tethers connected to individual pieces of protected equipment. Removal of the tether is automatically detected by a local security monitor which reports the condition to a central security controller via the PBX system. The security controller then provides dial-up reporting of the theft and/or sets an audible alarm at the equipment site.

TL;DR: In this paper, the design and measured performance of a fully parallel monolithic 8-bit A/D converter with a triple-diffused technology was described, and the required comparators and combining logic were designed and fabricated with a standard high-performance triple-differentiated technology.
Abstract: The design and measured performance of a fully parallel monolithic 8-bit A/D converter is reported. The required comparators and combining logic were designed and fabricated with a standard high-performance triple-diffused technology. A bipolar comparator circuit giving good performance with high input impedance is described. Circuit operation is reported at sample rates up to 30 megasamples per second (MS/s), with analog input signal power at frequencies up to 6 MHz. Full 8-bit linearity was achieved. An SNR of 42-44 dB was observed at input signal frequencies up to 5.3 MHz.

24 Sep 1997TL;DR: In this article, an electronic apparatus that includes a digital processor (12), a first digital pulse width modulator (304), a second digital signal width modulation (306), a combining circuit (308), and a load (310) was used to evaluate the performance of the first digital signal.
Abstract: An electronic apparatus that includes a digital processor (12), a first digital pulse width modulator (304), a second digital pulse width modulator (306), a combining circuit (308), and a load (310). The digital processor (12) produces a first digital signal (314) and a second digital signal (316). The first digital pulse width modulator (304) is responsive to the first digital signal (314), and the second digital pulse width modulator (306) is responsive to the second digital signal (316). The combining circuit (308) is responsive to the first digital pulse width modulator (304) and the second digital pulse width modulator (306). The load (310) is responsive to the combining circuit (308).
