TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed an approach to acquire an image of a measurement object and measure the distance of the measurement object while specifying a measurement place in the image, thus facilitating collection of geographic data provided with the image and simplifying acquisition of image data and measurement of the object.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire an image of a measurement object and measure the distance of the measurement object while specifying a measurement place in the image, thus facilitating collection of geographic data provided with the image and simplifying acquisition of image data and measurement of the measurement object. SOLUTION: This device comprises a distance measuring unit 5 for irradiating with a distance measuring light and for measuring the distance to the measurement object, a camera 3 for taking an image in the measuring direction, a display unit 6 for displaying the pickup image, a touch panel provided to correspond to a screen position of the display unit, a tilt sensor 11 for detecting a tilting in the measuring direction, and an arithmetic unit 8 for calculating the distance to the object by giving consideration on the tilting in the measuring direction and a point-to-point distance as specified on the image by specifying two or more points of the object on the displayed image via the touch panel. 31 Dec 2008TL;DR: In this paper, a message is represented as modifications of a subset of the distance values in the distance field, which is modified according to modification to produce a modified glyph in a modified document, wherein the symbol in the message is embedded in the modified glyph.
Abstract: A method embeds a message into a document containing a set of glyphs. Individual glyphs in the document, groups of glyphs in the document, or the entire document are represented using a distance field that includes distance values from the shapes of interest. Each symbol of the message is represented as modifications of a subset of the distance values in the distance field. This subset of the distance values in the distance field is modified according to modification to produce a modified glyph in a modified document, wherein the symbol in the message is embedded in the modified glyph.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method for segmenting adhesion cells in an image, which comprises the following steps of: performing image binaryzation, and performing distance transform on a binary image to obtain a distance value of each point; detecting local extreme points in a distance image, and screening to obtain central points representing cells; performing water area segmentation on the distance image.
Abstract: The invention provides a method for segmenting adhesion cells in an image, which comprises the following steps of: performing image binaryzation, and performing distance transform on a binary image to obtain a distance value of each point; detecting local extreme points in a distance image, and screening to obtain central points representing cells; performing water area segmentation on the distance image, and determining the subjection relation of subblocks and the cells according to the distance between the center of each subblock and the center of each cell; and finally segmenting intermediate blocks adjacent to a plurality of subblocks accurately By the method, the problems of over-segmentation and segmentation error which are likely to occur in the conventional watershed segmentationare solved effectively, and the method has the good applicability to the adhesion of the cells

28 Sep 2000TL;DR: In this article, an image pickup section generates an image signal corresponding to the image of a field formed through an image optical system, and an image repairing section divides the image signal into partial images, performs image processing for repairing blur of each partial image using the point image distribution function dependent on the distance and generates the entire image by synthesizing the repaired partial images.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for repairing a blurred image with high quality regardless of the distance to an object. SOLUTION: An image pickup section (4) generates an image signal corresponding to the image of a field formed through an image pickup optical system (3). A point image distribution function generating section (7) generates a point image distribution function dependent on the distance based on two-dimensional distance distribution information of the field detected at a distance detecting section (5), and an image blur signal during exposure period detected at a blur detecting section (6). An image repairing section (8) divides the image signal into partial images based on the distance distribution information, performs image processing for repairing blur of each partial image using the point image distribution function dependent on the distance and generates the entire image by synthesizing the repaired partial images.
