TL;DR: In this paper, a vehicle repair cost estimation system is proposed, where a memory stores division data as vehicle attribute data, the division data set is used for dividing each region of a vehicle into different areas based on a predetermined condition and set a repair condition corresponding to each of the areas.
Abstract: A vehicle repair cost estimating system. A memory stores
division data as vehicle attribute data, the division data set
each region of a vehicle for dividing each of the regions into
respective areas based on a predetermined condition and set a
repair condition corresponding to each of the areas. A
calculating device specifies a damaged position of the vehicle,
determines to which area set in each region the specified damaged
position belongs, and calculates a repair cost based on repair
condition data of the determined area.

28 Mar 2011TL;DR: In this paper, a beam-formed electromagnetic wave is repetitively at intervals transmitted toward the road viewed from a vehicle to scan in the vehicle width direction, and distance data measured is received to detect the division line based on characteristics of changes in a sequence of the distance data produced by mapping the received distance data in a scanning order of the wave.
Abstract: A division line depicted on a road is detected. A beam-formed electromagnetic wave is repetitively at intervals transmitted toward the road viewed from a vehicle to scan in the vehicle width direction. Each beam-formed electromagnetic wave is radiated to a radiation area on the road, and the radiation areas made by transmitting the beam-formed electromagnetic wave a plurality of times virtually produces a scan area on the road. Every beam-formed electromagnetic wave, distance data indicative of a distance between a division line on the road and the vehicle is measured based on information about a reflected electromagnetic wave. The distance data measured is received to detect the division line based on characteristics of changes in a sequence of the distance data produced by mapping the received distance data in a scanning order of the beam-formed electromagnetic wave.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe various methods, systems, and apparatuses in which a wavelength division multiplexing passive optical network includes a wavelength-locked light source and a wavelength specific light source.
Abstract: Various methods, systems, and apparatuses are described in which a wavelength-division-multiplexing passive-optical-network includes a wavelength-locked light source and a wavelength-specific light source. The wavelength-locked light source may be used for communications in a first direction in the wavelength division multiplexed passive optical network to supply data signals at a first data rate. The wavelength-specific light source may be used for communications in a second direction in the wavelength division multiplexed passive optical network to supply data at a second data rate.

TL;DR: When multiple physical layer pipes are used, the feasibility of the implementation and memory use aspects are discussed, and the performance analysis in comparison with other multiplexing techniques that ATSC 3.0 offers is shown.
Abstract: This paper presents implementation and memory use aspects for layered division multiplexing (LDM) technology defined in the next generation terrestrial broadcast standard, called advanced television systems committee (ATSC) 3.0. As LDM becomes a new method that combines multiple broadcast contents, its practical considerations on transmitter and receiver implementations as well as memory usages are described in this paper. When multiple physical layer pipes are used, the feasibility of the implementation and memory use aspects are discussed, and the performance analysis in comparison with other multiplexing techniques that ATSC 3.0 offers is shown.

19 May 2013TL;DR: Two approaches for constructing a compact reversible divider have been presented here and the proposed designs are much better than the existing approaches considering all the efficiency parameters of reversible logic design which includes numbers of gates used, quantum cost and garbage outputs.
Abstract: In this paper, we propose a reversible n-bit divider, where n is the number of bits of the operands of dividend. Two approaches for constructing a compact reversible divider have been presented here. The first approach uses conventional division array and the second approach uses high speed division array. Both of the approaches can handle floating point numbers. Several theorems on the numbers of gates, garbage outputs and quantum cost of the reversible n-bit divider have been shown. The comparative study shows that the proposed designs can work with fractional numbers where as existing designs can not. Proposed designs are also much better than the existing approaches considering all the efficiency parameters of reversible logic design which includes numbers of gates used, quantum cost and garbage outputs.
