TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed an analog readout system with functionally the same output as common charge division, but without a division chain connected to the detector outputs before signal amplification.
Abstract: Charge division readout provides a relatively simple electronic solution for data readout of position sensitive radiation detectors. Conventional charge division usually consists of some charge division media connected to the detector outputs to provide proportional charge division between two division chain outputs. Although offering some advantages such as simplicity and the reduction of the number of analog outputs, it reduces the detector spatial resolution and image quality, because of signal to noise reduction from the attenuation of the signal before reaching the amplifiers. An analog readout system with functionally the same output as common charge division, but without a division chain connected to the detector outputs before signal amplification was designed and evaluated. This readout system operates as a multi-channel analog signal converter which converts signals from multi-channel output position sensitive devices such as multianode PMTs or gamma cameras built of PSPMT arrays etc. to two per coordinate analog outputs with same amplitude correlation as common charge division position readout.

TL;DR: In this article, a system and method for arranging and storing a plurality of records of geographic data, wherein each record corresponds to a physical feature having a physical location in a geographic region, is presented.
Abstract: A system and method for arranging and storing a plurality of records of geographic data, wherein each record corresponds to a physical feature having a physical location in a geographic region. The method and system comprise arranging the records of geographic data into a plurality of parcels. Each parcel includes records of geographic data that represent features having physical locations encompassed within a corresponding associated rectangular area located in the geographic region. The size and location of each such rectangular area associated with a parcel is determined by a series of divisions of a bounding rectangle that encompasses all of the features represented by the plurality of records into further rectangular areas. Each division, subsequent to an initial division, is made on a rectangular area resulting from the preceding division. Each such division of a rectangular area is made at a location along the rectangular area based upon an assessment of one or more trial divisions of the rectangular area at one or more locations. A division is selected based upon a comparison of the quantities of data encompassed by the rectangular area and each of the further rectangular areas formed by the one or more trial divisions. The assessment is based upon a comparison of these quantities of data for each such trial division to a plurality of ranges of acceptable data quantities. These acceptable sizes are derived from a desired fill percentage of parcels with data.

TL;DR: The expansion of the traditional techniques for the division of secrets and the development of the so-called linguistic threshold schemes, a new concept based on the traditional algorithms of the Division of information which additionally introduces the stage of linguistic conversion of shared data using specially defined formal grammar are focused on.
Abstract: One issue which is essential for the security of calculations and communication as well as the ability to guarantee data confidentiality is intelligent threshold division of strategic information that may later be passed on to a group of authorized users for reconstruction and shared use. Enabling such division of information acquires particular significance with regard to the management of important and confidential data by various national institutions, corporations or strategic (military) units. It seems that these techniques will become increasingly more important along with the growing number of their applications. The division of confidential information is inevitably related to the cryptographic algorithms of the division of secrets. Relying on these techniques, this paper will focus on two issues. The first is the expansion of the traditional techniques for the division of secrets and the development of the so-called linguistic threshold schemes, a new concept based on the traditional algorithms of the division of information which additionally introduces the stage of linguistic conversion of shared data using specially defined formal grammar. The other is the demonstration of how linguistic threshold schemes thus developed may be used to manage secret data in a variety of selected organizational structures.

TL;DR: In this paper, a data storage device DP acquires output apparatus information including at least a color reproduction area of image data of output apparatuses such as composite devices MF1-MFn and computers PC1-PCn.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output image data under a condition that a data amount is reduced while improving an output image quality of an output apparatusSOLUTION: In an image processing system 1, a data storage processing device DP acquires output apparatus information including at least a color reproduction area of image data of output apparatuses such as composite devices MF1-MFn and computers PC1-PCn as a predetermined number of output apparatuses outputting the image data stored in an image storage section at an apparatus information acquisition section; divides the image data into predetermined division image data according to the output apparatus information at an image division section and stores it in the image storage section; and synthesizes only the required division image data based on the output apparatus information of the output apparatus among the division image data, and create synthetic image data and outputs it to the output apparatus
