TL;DR: Palladium (II) reacts with DPPH in slightly acid medium to form a red colored complex that is stable in presence of EDTA and extractable into chloroform.
Abstract: Palladium (II) reacts with DPPH in slightly acid medium to form a red colored complex stable in presence of EDTA and extractable into chloroform. These properties of the Pd(II)-DPPH complex were used for the selective extractive spectrophotometric determination of palladium(II) in presence of several tested cations.
