TL;DR: In this article, a braking force control device is provided in which wheel speeds of respective wheels of a vehicle are detected and a road surface μ slope, which is a slope of a coefficient of friction between a wheel and the road surface, is estimated for each wheel.
Abstract: A braking force control device is provided in which wheel speeds of respective wheels of a vehicle are detected. On the basis of detected wheel speeds, a road surface μ slope, which is a slope of a coefficient of friction μ between a wheel and a road surface, is estimated for each wheel. On the basis of the road surface μ slope estimated for each wheel, a braking force of each wheel is controlled such that the braking force of each wheel is adjusted.

TL;DR: In this paper, a deviation reference control quantity determining device is used to determine an operation control quantity for the actuator on the basis of a deviation between a target deceleration determined based on a quantity of operation of a brake operating member and a detected decelerations of the vehicle.
Abstract: A braking force control system of a vehicle includes a deviation reference control quantity determining device for determining an operation control quantity for the actuator on the basis of a deviation between a target deceleration determined on the basis of a quantity of operation of a brake operating member and a detected deceleration of the vehicle. In this control system, the level of operation speed is judged in accordance with whether or not the variation per unit time in quantity of operation of the brake operating member exceeds a preset value. Following two states are switched over from one to another by a switch device: a state 1) in which the operation of the actuator is controlled with an operation control quantity determined in the deviation reference control quantity determining device, when it is decided that the operation speed is slow or low, and a state 2) in which the operation of the actuator is controlled with an operation control quantity determined in an operation quantity reference quantity determining device for determining the operation control quantity on the basis of the quantity of operation of the brake operating member, when the operation speed is fast or high. Thus, the generation of an overshooting can be avoided to improve the responsiveness.

TL;DR: In this paper, a motor control apparatus supplying AC power to a motor having a plurality of motor windings having an inverting part including a bridge circuit, and a switching controller turning on and turning off the switching units provided in one of opposite ends of the inverting parts so that the overcurrent consumed by the brake resistors is changeable in proportion to a rotation speed of the motor.
Abstract: A motor control apparatus supplying AC power to a motor having a plurality of motor windings having an inverting part including a bridge circuit having a plurality of switching units, and supplying the AC power to the motor; brake relays short circuiting the motor windings by turning on when the motor brakes; brake resistors, respectively, connected to the motor windings and consuming an overcurrent generated from the motor when the brake relays short circuit the motor windings; and a switching controller turning on and turning off the switching units provided in one of opposite ends of the inverting part so that the overcurrent consumed by the brake resistors is changeable in proportion to a rotation speed of the motor, when the brake relays short circuit the motor windings to improve an effect of a dynamic braking operation and to prevent breakdown thereof.

TL;DR: In this paper, an electric brake feedback monitor detects one or more electrical conditions of the electric motor during electric braking and selectively supplies/terminates the first signal to/from a brake controller as a function of the first signals and the electrical conditions.
Abstract: A blended electrical/friction braking system includes an electric brake feedback monitor which monitors a first signal corresponding to an electric brake effort request of an electric motor of an electrically powered vehicle. The electric brake feedback monitor detects one or more electrical conditions of the electric motor during electric braking and selectively supplies/terminates the first signal to/from a brake controller as a function of the first signal and the one or more electrical conditions. In response to termination of the first signal thereat, the brake controller causes a friction brake of the vehicle to assume the entire braking effort of the vehicle.
