TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of higher frequency modes on the cyclically-coupled system was investigated and it was shown that the no-resonance zone is replaced by a resonance-suppression zone in which one structural mode is suppressed, but higher-order resonances still exist with the addition of the absorbers.
Abstract: This paper considers the dynamic response and order-tuning of vibration absorbers fitted to a rotating flexible structure under traveling wave (TW) engine order excitation. Of specific interest is the extension of previous results on the so-called no-resonance zone, that is, a region in linear tuning parameter space in which the coupled structure/absorber system does not experience resonance over all rotation speeds. The no-resonance feature was shown to exist for cyclic rotating structures with one structural and one absorber degree-of-freedom (DOF) per sector. This work uses a higher-fidelity structural model to investigate the effects of higher modes on the cyclically-coupled system. It is shown that the no-resonance zone is replaced by a resonance-suppression zone in which one structural mode is suppressed, but higher-order resonances still exist with the addition of the absorbers. The results are general, in the sense that one vibration mode can be eliminated using a set of identically-tuned ab-sorbers on a rotating structure with arbitrarily many DOFs per sector.

TL;DR: In this article, an automobile energy renewable vibration absorber, consisting of an upper working cylinder and a lower working cylinder, is described, in which the lower working cylinders are connected into the upper working cylinders in a sliding mode, and a motion transformation mechanism is arranged in the lower cylinder.
Abstract: The invention discloses an automobile energy renewable vibration absorber, comprising an upper working cylinder and a lower working cylinder, wherein the lower working cylinder is connected into the upper working cylinder in a sliding mode; a energy renewable motor and a transmission mechanism are arranged in the upper working cylinder; and a motion transformation mechanism is arranged in the lower working cylinder. The motion transformation mechanism is a ball screw rod pair, transfers linear motion caused by the vibration of automobile wheels to rotary motion and transfers up and down motion to unidirectional rotary motion through overrunning clutchs with mutual opposite clutch directions in the transmission mechanism, and energy is transferred to electric power for use by the energy renewable motor.

TL;DR: In this article, a flywheel has apertures 192 with walls that are arcs about an axis that are parallel to the axis of rotation of the flywheel 188, and a roller is inserted in each aperture 194.
Abstract: A knife drive centrifugal pendulum vibration absorber for an agricultural combine harvester includes a wobble drive assembly 82 with an input drive shaft 132. A flywheel 188 is secured to the wobble drive input drive shaft 132. The flywheel has apertures 192 with walls that are arcs about an axis that are parallel to the axis of rotation of the flywheel 188. A roller 194 is inserted in each aperture 194. The rollers 194 roll along the walls of the apertures 194 in response to changes in the speed of rotation of the flywheel 188 and absorb vibrations induced in the drive shaft 132 by a reciprocating knife assembly 74.
