TL;DR: The result shows that it can improve image edge detection effect and is one of most activity topic in machine-vision filed and it has very important status in project application.
Abstract: Figure image edge detection is very important basis in image -division,identify object zone,pick-up zone shape. The first always is edge detection in image comprehend and analysis. It is one of most activity topic in machine-vision filed, and it has very important status in project application. So this paper realizes image edge detection method in VC.The goal is improving image edge detection effect based on realizing image edge detection. The result shows that it can improve image edge detection effect.

TL;DR: A new hybrid edge detector is presented that combines the advantages of Prewitt, Sobel and optimized Canny edge detectors to perform edge detection while eliminating their limitations.
Abstract: Edge structures which are boundaries of object surfaces are essential image characteristic in computer vision and image processing. As a result, edge detection becomes part of the core feature extraction in many object recognition and digital image applications. This paper presents a new hybrid edge detector that combines the advantages of Prewitt, Sobel and optimized Canny edge detectors to perform edge detection while eliminating their limitations. The optimum Canny edges are obtained through varying the Gaussian filter standard deviation and the threshold value. Simulation results show that the proposed hybrid edge detection method is able to consistently and effectively produce better edge features even in noisy images. Compared to the other three edge detection techniques, the hybrid edge detector has demonstrated its superiority by returning specific edges with less noise.

TL;DR: A prototype 3D measurement system is proposed in this paper which consists of a 1D laser displacement sensor, a 2D image system and a servo controlX,Y-table and a 3D plaster model is chosen as the specimen for non-contact measurement to verify the feasibility of this approach.
Abstract: A prototype 3D measurement system is proposed in this paper which consists of a 1D laser displacement sensor, a 2D image system and a servo controlX,Y-table. The laser sensor and CCD camera are installed on theZ-axis perpendicular to theX,Y-table. The image-processing system employs the adaptive resonant theory (ART) neural networks to classify the outer shape of the measured object. The edge values of the object are then obtained by using the image processing procedures of sliding, stretching, edge enhancement and binary disposal. The 2D dimensions of the object are searched by employing the Hough theory based upon the edge values. The 3D dimensions of the object are measured and assembled by combining theX,Y-coordinates of the table and the scanning results of the 1D laser for the height of theZ-axis. A 3D plaster model is chosen as the specimen for non-contact measurement to verify the feasibility of this approach. The limitations and resolution of the 3D measurement of this system are discussed.

TL;DR: In this paper, a digital camera with which multiple exposure photographing can be performed by changing the image quality of each picture by a simple method without requiring addition and extension of a special circuit for multiple exposure.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital still camera with which multiple exposure photographing can be performed by changing the image quality of each picture by a simple method without requiring addition and extension of a special circuit for multiple exposure. SOLUTION: Emphasis optionally applied to the trace of a moving object in such a manner that a controlling means 103 uses an operation that optionally varies the occurrence timing of a charge pulse 113 from a driving means 102 and an operation that optionally varies the occurrence timing of a subpulse 112 at the same time, and a signal processing means 108 can perform edge enhancement corresponding to multiple exposure in regard to an imaged picture, and thus image quality is improved and the trace is represented in a more easily understandable way.

TL;DR: In this paper, the edge enhancing level of an original image signal was suppressed by suppressing the excess enlargement of the edge signal added to the original image signals, and the image signal had natural edges.
Abstract: According to the image taking apparatus and the method of controlling an edge enhancing level of an original image signal, as the electronic zooming rate for the original image signal increases, an amplitude level of the edge signal decreases in a direction contrary to the increase of the electronic zooming rate, and thereby, an edge enhancing level of the edge-enhanced image signal is automatically suppressed. Accordingly, even though zooming processing is applied to the edge-enhanced image signal, it is able to obtain an enlarged image signal having natural edges by suppressing excess enlargement of the edge signal added to the original image signal.
