Abstract: PURPOSE:To form the title laminated synthetic thin film of different metals with good productivity and high precision by successively switching the impressed voltages so that an electric discharge by a sputtering source immediately before a discharge from the preceding sputtering source on which a voltage is firstly impressed is interrupted. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 12 to be sputtered is fixed to a holder 17, the inside of the sputtering device 1 is evacuated 16, and a fixed amt. of a gas such as Ar is introduced 17. A voltage is then alternately impressed on the sputtering sources 3 and 4 to produce a potential difference between a cathode 2 and an anode 10. Namely, the rise in voltage of both sputtering sources 3 and 4 is controlled so that the voltage is increased to specified voltages (V1, V2) prior to the voltage falling time of one sputtering source (Ta,Tb). As a result, both sputtering sources 3 and 4 can be switched without interrupting the discharge between the cathode 2 and the anode 10. Accordingly, the voltages V1 and V2 to be impressed on both sputtering sources 3 and 4 can be stabilized, and a laminated synthetic thin film is obtained with high precision and good productivity.

Abstract: This study sets control and separation recovery of VOCS as the main study purposes. Doing actively research on control and separation recovery of Present VOCS, the toluene with which this research was also adsorbed by activated carbon using the characteristic of microwave was separated. When desorbing toluene using microwave, electric discharge generates activated carbon and microwave with the electric characteristic. When electric discharge occurs, the moment temperature of activated carbon comes to rise by 5,000~10,000℃ or more, and such a rapid temperature rise causes various problems, such as danger of explosion of toluene, and weakened durability of activated carbon. Then, in this study, electric discharge was suppressed using the silica stone anhydride which is the quality of an insulator about the surface of activated carbon, and the experiment about the adsorption and the desorption of toluene by the activated carbon of improvement was conducted.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable a machine to improve its discharge stability, by providing an abnormal discharge preventing circuit which suspends an electric charge to capacitors if a condition, that machining comes to be given a detrimental electric current, continues for a time not less than the predetermined length. CONSTITUTION:A power supply unit 19 in a machining circuit 3 charges capacitors C1-Cn with predetermined voltage from a DC power supply 11 by actuating a base driving circuit 17, and a machine, releasing energy at a spark between opposed electrodes 9 by their insulation breakdown, performs predetermined electric discharge machining. And a machining condition detecting circuit 5 detects a normal discharge by predetermined drop of interpole voltage VGAP, while the other condition is detected waiting for the capacitors being charged after said normal discharge, further if a condition, that the machining comes to be given a detrimental electric current, continues for a time not less than the predetermined length, the capacitors are suspended to be charged by turning off a transistor 15 through an abnormal discharge preventing circuit 7A. In this way, discharge stability is improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a power feed member from wear due to electrolytic corrosion, by using a corrosion resistant metallic simple substance or conductive material coated with corrosion resistant metal on its surface for the power feed member to a wire electrode. CONSTITUTION:A power feed member 9 to a wire electrode 1 of a wire cut electric discharge machine is easy to cause its wear due to electrolytic corrosion because of regular and reverse reflection waves of an electric discharge current flow. The power feed member 9 is manufactured by a simple substance of corrosion resistant metal, for instance, titanium, platinum, etc. or conductive material, coated with these metals on its surface, and its wear due to electrolytic corrosion can be prevented. The power feed member, in which titanium is coated to 5-15mu on sintered carbides, can increase its life about ten times that of the sintered carbide itself.
