TL;DR: In this paper, a method for operating at least one wind turbine with a rotor and an electric generator coupled to the rotor for delivering electrical power into an energy distribution system with the aid of a control device ensures that the wind turbine operates within its operating range.
Abstract: A method for operating at least one wind turbine with a rotor and an electric generator coupled to the rotor for delivering electrical power into an energy distribution system with the aid of a control device ensures that the wind turbine operates within its operating range. The wind turbine is controlled in response to the change of a system operating parameter and for a period of time, in such a manner that a higher power is fed into the system than belongs to the operating range of the steady-state operation. The same conditions also apply to a method for providing control power or primary control power for an electric energy generator and distributor system to which a multiplicity of power stations including wind turbines is connected, and to a wind turbine.

16 Mar 2010TL;DR: A power transmission apparatus includes a power source, a power transmission coil that transmits electric power supplied from the power source outward as magnetic energy through magnetic resonance, a peak searching unit that searches for a drive frequency at which the magnetic energy transmitted outward has a peak; a peak split detector that detects splitting of the drive frequency as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: A power transmission apparatus includes: a power source; a power transmission coil that transmits electric power supplied from the power source outward as magnetic energy through magnetic resonance; a peak searching unit that searches for a drive frequency at which the magnetic energy transmitted outward has a peak; a peak split detector that detects splitting of the drive frequency at which the magnetic energy transmitted outward has a peak; a selection unit that selects a higher-frequency side frequency among split drive frequencies generated by the splitting; and a drive unit that drives the power transmission coil using the frequency selected by the selection unit.

27 Sep 2005TL;DR: In this paper, an electric traction system for an electric vehicle includes an internal combustion engine and a generator coupled to the engine, a power bus coupled with the generator and a power storage unit, a drive controller coupled to an electric motor and to the power bus, and a vehicle controller coupling to the drive controller.
Abstract: An electric traction system for an electric vehicle includes an internal combustion engine and a generator coupled to the engine, a power bus coupled to the generator, a power storage unit coupled to the power bus, a drive controller coupled to an electric motor and to the power bus, and a vehicle controller coupled to the drive controller. The generator is configured to receive electrical power regenerated onto the power bus by the electric motor in order to provide mechanical power to the engine, and the engine is configured to dissipate the mechanical power in order to provide a braking function.
