Abstract: The invention relates to the field of electric power marketing, in particular to an electric power field operating system combined with a smartphone. The electric power field operating system combined with the smartphone comprises a smartphone terminal, an operation server and a marketing server, wherein a Bluetooth communication module, a serial interface and an infrared communication module are arranged in the smartphone terminal, the Bluetooth communication module is connected with the infrared communication module through the serial interface in a communication mode, an operation module is further installed in the smartphone terminal, and is used for sending out an operation instruction, and receiving information collected by the Bluetooth communication module, the operation server is connected with the smartphone terminal in a network communication mode to receive data in the operation module in a remote mode and/or to update the operation module, the marketing server is connected with the operation server in a communication mode to receive data in the operation server so that statistics and checking can be carried out, the infrared communication module is in communication with an electricity meter infrared device in an electric power field, and the Baud rate of the serial interface is adjusted to be matched with the electricity meter infrared device. According to the electric power field operation system combined with the smartphone, the time of meter reading is shortened, the phenomena that estimation meter reading is carried out, and the indicating number of an electricity meter is changed in an unauthorized mode are effectively and completely eradicated, and quality of meter reading is improved.

Abstract: An electric watt-hour meter socket which is provided with means for by-passing the meter-socket contact prior to removal of the meter, thus enabling current to be supplied when necessary, and when the interruption of the current supply by removal of the meter, would otherwise occur. Also, provision is made to loosen the socket contacts when the current by-pass is activated, thus facilitating disengagement of the meter contact and the removal of the meter, and to tighten the socket contacts when the meter is restored and the by-pass deactivated. The invention resides in the simplicity of the means provided for accomplishing these operations.

Abstract: The power line communication (PLC) plays an important role in the evolvement of communication network technology in the advanced metering infrastructure (AMI). With existing power lines, PLC enables the provision of automatic controlling smart energy meter service. In this paper, we examine the performance of G3 PLC network with smart energy meter. Essentially, a network topology, a communication protocol, and a data rate are studied in real environment. Experimental results indicate that the investigated G3 PLC technology could achieve a preferable performance in terms of network reliability and throughput. Hence, this technology could be one of prominent PLC technologies for realizing the AMI systems.

Abstract: The invention discloses a prepayment energy meter, comprising a rate storage unit, a clock unit, an electric quantity/electric charge input unit and an electric quantity/electric charge deduction unit, wherein the rate storage unit stores the relational data in which each time interval corresponds to a relevant rate, and the relational data are input based on an IEC62055-41 standard TOKEN coded form and are defined by reserved positions in the standard; the clock unit is used for generating and outputting time information; and the electric quantity/electric charge input unit is used for inputting the prepaid electric quantity/electric charge to be consumed; and the electric quantity/electric charge deduction unit is used for deducting the multiplier (namely the electric charge to be deducted) of the rate corresponding to the current time and the used electric quantity or the multiplier (namely the electric quantity to be deducted after conversion) obtained based on the electric quantity calculation standard of the electric quantity/electric charge input unit from the electric quantity/electric charge to be consumed which is input by the electric quantity/electric charge input unitin real time according to the time generated by the clock unit and the relational data in the rate storage unit. On the premise of maintaining the existing technical frame, the energy meter not only conforms to the standard transfer specification (STS), but also has a multi-rate (time-to-use) function.

Abstract: Induced by a very unfavorable scenario of nontechnical losses (electricity theft), some electrical distribution companies in Brazil have moved from the traditional one meter per residence measurement process to a centralized multi-residences meter with two-way communication features, enabling both automatic reads and remote connect/disconnect of energy supplies. Those improvements can be seen as a natural transition toward an effective Smart grid, and have brought together the needs of a deep revision on regulatory procedures for the electrical meters evaluation conducted by the Brazilian Metrology Office. This paper shows that the increasing complexity from those new electrical grid equipments, particularly conveyed by additional software procedures, is a major issue and needs to be rapidly assimilated by metrological controls to avoid the appearance of stepping stones in the smart grid pathway. This paper aims to describe the whole set of relevant aspects revealed in this particular Brazilian experience, discussing the real scene and the respective challenges opposed.
