TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed an intelligent home system consisting of a bus and an intelligent interaction terminal, where the bus is provided with an electric supply input end and a new energy input end, the electric supply inputs end is serially connected with an accessing switch and an Intelligent electricity meter, the input end of the intelligent electricity meter is accessed to an optical cable compound cable and the output end is connected to the bus through the accessing switch.
Abstract: The invention relates to an intelligent home system accessing to an intelligent power gird and new energy and an energy efficiency managing method. The system comprises a bus and an intelligent interaction terminal, wherein the bus is provided with an electric supply input end and a new energy input end, the electric supply input end is serially connected with an electric supply accessing switch and an intelligent electricity meter, the input end of the intelligent electricity meter is accessed to an optical cable compound cable and the output end is connected to the bus through the electric supply accessing switch; the new energy input end is connected with corresponding new energy equipment through the corresponding new energy accessing switch; the intelligent interaction terminal comprises a microprocessor and a peripheral interface circuit thereof, the intelligent interaction terminal is connected with the new energy equipment through an RS485 interface and an acquisition device used for acquiring information of the intelligent electricity meter; and the intelligent interaction terminal is in wireless communication connection with the electric supply accessing switch and the intelligent home equipment through wireless radio interfaces, wherein the electric supply accessing switch is provided with a corresponding wireless interface. The intelligent home system realizes dual-direction interaction of users and a power grid, can receive various kinds of information from the power grid and preferential measures in real time through the intelligent interaction terminal of the intelligent electricity meter, guides the users to optimize home electricity and saves cost.

TL;DR: In this paper, a demand electronic electricity meter having load profile recording capabilities is presented, where load profile parameters include the number of channels, interval size, quantities to be recorded (e.g., kWh and kvarh, kVAh, or Qh), and channel scalar/divisor.
Abstract: A demand electronic electricity meter having load profile recording capabilities is presented. Load profile recording requires memory for storing the recorded information, whereby either on-board memory or external memory is required. Load profile parameters include the number of channels (e.g., 1, 2 or more channels), interval size (e.g., 1, 5, 10, 15, 30 or 60 minutes), quantities to be recorded (e.g., kWh and kvarh, kVAh, or Qh) and channel scalar/divisor (e.g., for each channel, a 2 byte divisor and a 2 byte scalar). With two channels, only two quantities are available for recording, kWh and the one other quantity that the meter has been configured to record, (e.g., kvarh, KVAh, or kQh). For each quantity selected, snapshots of the corresponding total accumulator; (i.e. total kWh and total kvarh, kVAh or kQh) are automatically maintained.

TL;DR: In this article, a device for curtailing electric demand is proposed, which is suitable as a tool for responding to the real-time pricing of electrical energy or for reducing demand during power shortages.
Abstract: A device for curtailing electric demand is suitable as a tool for responding to the real-time pricing of electrical energy or for reducing demand during power shortages. The device ( 104 ) according to the present invention works in conjunction with an energy management system ( 40 ), which receives demand signals from an electric meter ( 24 ). Upon executing a curtailment command sent to the device ( 104 ) through a communications network ( 48, 50, 102 ), device intercepts and biases the signal going to the energy management system ( 40 ), which, in effect, coerces it to reduce the demand upon the meter ( 24 ) and upon the electric grid ( 20 ).
