TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed two new power filters and their design method to further mitigate the bearing currents, and the theoretical analysis and the design method are introduced in detail, and experimental results are in good agreement with theoretical analysis.
Abstract: High-frequency pulse width modulation (PWM) in inverter-fed induction motor drive systems is widely used in industrial applications because of their flexible speed control and energy savings. However, high d v /d t PWM pulses induce overvoltage spikes on the motor via long cable. Such phenomenon would cause serious deterioration of the motor and cable. A passive overvoltage suppression technique of low-loss “RL-plus-C” filter was proposed recently. It has not only some merits of simple structure, low cost, and good robustness, but also a significant merit of low power dissipation. In order to further mitigate the bearing currents, this paper proposes two new power filters and their design method. The theoretical analysis and the design method are introduced in detail. Experimental results are in good agreement with the theoretical analysis.

16 Sep 2003TL;DR: In this article, the transmit filter filters a signal to be transmitted from the transmitter to suppress the transmission of parts of the signal outside the band, where the compensating filter is arranged to alter the signal to counteract at least one of a phase ripple, an amplitude ripple, and a group delay variation of the transmitter within the band.
Abstract: A radio transmitter for transmitting signals in a predetermined frequency band has a transmit filter and a compensating filter. The transmit filter filters a signal to be transmitted from the transmitter to suppress the transmission of parts of the signal outside the band. The compensating filter, e.g., operating in the digital domain, filters the signal upstream from the transmit filter, wherein the compensating filter is arranged to alter the signal to counteract at least one of a phase ripple, an amplitude ripple, and a group delay variation of the transmit filter within the band.

TL;DR: In this article, two different kinds of resonators are used to construct a microwave band-pass filter that has a low spurious response, including coaxial resonators and disk dielectric resonators.
Abstract: Two different kinds of resonators can be used to construct a microwave band-pass filter that has a low spurious response. The band-pass filter made with coaxial resonators and disk dielectric resonators shows a good spurious response.

TL;DR: In this article, a digital sound system suitable for a digital speaker device to directly convert analog sound by a circuit using a ΔΣ modulator and a mismatch shaping filter circuit is presented.
Abstract: A digital sound system suitable for a digital speaker device to directly convert analog sound by a circuit using a ΔΣ modulator and a mismatch shaping filter circuit to output a plurality of digital signals and a plurality of speakers driven by the plurality of digital signals. A digital speaker driving device includes a ΔΣ modulator, a post filter, s driving circuits, and a power supply circuit to supply power to the ΔΣ modulator, the post filter and the s driving elements, and the s driving circuits are adapted to s digital signal terminals.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe the generation of voltage and current harmonics of two level PWM inverter sources, before the application of a passive filter and serve as a guide as to the effectiveness of the passive filter in minimizing the level of voltage harmonics.
Abstract: Even two level PWM sources with low harmonic voltage and current distortion characteristics can affect an industrial plant's power system in such a way that voltage sensitive electronic equipment is adversely affected It is unwise to feed PWM sources and sensitive electronic equipment from the same substation transformer The resulting voltage distortion is time consuming to trouble-shoot and expensive to fix Additional filtering is needed to stop the unwanted harmonic frequencies that emanate from PWM sources from interfering with the operation of sensitive electronic equipment such as gas burner controls, robots and assembly line sensors typically used in the automotive industry The paper describes the generation of voltage and current harmonics of two level PWM inverter sources The level of these harmonics were measured before the application of a passive filter and serve as a guide as to the effectiveness of the passive filter in minimizing the level of voltage and current harmonics
