TL;DR: In this paper, a compact bandpass filter (BPF) with dual band-notch function for ultra wideband (UWB) applications is presented and discussed, where defected ground structure is used in order to improve the out-of-band performance of the filter.
Abstract: The procedure of attaining a compact bandpass filter (BPF) with dual band-notch function for ultra-wideband (UWB) applications is presented and discussed. In the proposed BPF, defected ground structure is used in order to improve the out-of-band performance of the filter. Also, four short-circuited bent stubs are employed in order to improve the selectivity of the filter at its cutoff frequencies. Dual band-notch function is added to the performance of the filter by coupling two short-circuited inverted T-shaped stubs to the filter main resonator. The fabricated filter satisfies well the demands of the Federal Communications Committee with two narrow band-notch functions at 5.5 and 8 GHz, which eliminates the interference of the UWB system with wireless local area network (WLAN) and satellite communication systems, respectively. The improved upper stop-band of the proposed filter with more than 20 dB attenuation level extends up to 20 GHz.

TL;DR: In this paper, a universal voltage-mode second-order filter circuit is presented, which uses five current-feedback operational amplifiers, two grounded capacitors, three grounded resistors and three floating resistors.
Abstract: A new universal voltage-mode second-order filter circuit is presented. The circuit uses five current-feedback operational amplifiers, two grounded capacitors three grounded resistors and three floating resistors. The circuit can realize all the standard filter functions; lowpass, highpass, bandpass, notch and allpass, without changing the passive elements. The proposed circuit enjoys independent grounded-resistance-control of the natural frequency and the bandwidth, low output impedances, high input impedance as well as low active and passive sensitivities.

TL;DR: In this article, a simple and low cost control strategy for hybrid filter is proposed for a utility interface with three-phase diode bridge rectifier front-end due to its high displacement power factor.
Abstract: Nowadays, hybrid filtering is an important alternative to improve line performance when supplying high-power nonlinear loads. This paper presents a simple and low cost control strategy for hybrid filter as an alternative to other more complex algorithms, in some specific applications. The proposed control strategy is recommended for a utility interface with three-phase diode bridge rectifier front-end due to its high displacement power factor. It has been tested by simulations (both steady-state and transient analysis) and by experimental verification, where good results are obtained. It can be seen that using this control strategy, acceptable harmonic levels according to IEEE-519 standard are obtained. Also a different connection of the passive filter is experimentally verified, allowing the reduction of passive filter capacitors.

TL;DR: In this article, a high-pass filter circuit is used for passing, when a leakage signal occurs, a signal of equal frequency component to the leakage signal, and an attenuation circuit for attenuating the level of the signal passed through the filter circuit to the same level of leakage signal.
Abstract: A sound reproducing device particularly adapted for use in the passenger compartment of an automobile and having improved stereo separation and symmetrical frequency characteristics. The device includes a high-pass filter circuit for passing, when a leakage signal occurs, a signal of equal frequency component to the leakage signal, an attenuation circuit for attenuating the level of the signal passed through the filter circuit to the level of the leakage signal, and a phase inverting circuit for inverting the phase of the signal thus attenuated so as to be opposite to that of the leakage signal, thereby to cancel out the leakage signal.
