TL;DR: In this article, a pair of plates, each having a generally channel-shaped configuration with a flange at one end, are used to embed a plurality of elongated nail-like teeth into the respective frame members.
Abstract: The device includes a pair of plates, each having a generally channel-shaped configuration with a flange at one end. The flanges have a plurality of elongated nail-like teeth struck therefrom for embedment into the respective frame members. The channel-shaped members are telescopically received one within the other at the ends remote from the flanges and secured whereby the frame members are spaced one from the other at selected distances. The upper flanges of the elements are arcuately contoured and provide clearance between the upper flanges and a seat and spring underside to permit deflection of the seat construction toward the flanges when an individual is seated.

TL;DR: In this paper , the performance of basalt fiber reinforced polymer (BFRP) bars in geopolymer concrete (GPC) cubes was investigated and a parametric study was performed to estimate the influences of bar diameter, embedment length and elastic modulus on maximum pullout load, based on which the load transfer mechanisms between BFRP bars and GPC were explored, and a formula for predicting the bond strength was proposed in comparison with experimental data.

TL;DR: In this article, a set of model tests were conducted on kaolin clay, involving laterally moving pipelines with constant embedments in the range 5% to 35% of the pipe diameter, and it was shown that the soil berm is a function of pipe displacement amplitude, pipe embedment, and soil sensitivity.

TL;DR: In this article, the digital watermarks are embedded into the input image with reference to another image located at a position earlier in time than the target image, which suppresses a delay in output of an output image with a reference to an input image.
Abstract: A characteristic amount is retained and calculated from an entered video signal. Embedment intensity is retained and calculated from the retained characteristic amount. Embedment information is embedded as digital watermarks into the entered video signal in accordance with the retained embedment intensity of the previous frame or field that is located at a position earlier in time than a target image subject to digital watermark embedment. As a result, an output signal of video having the digital watermarks embedded therein is produced. The digital watermarks are embedded into the target image with reference to another image located at a position earlier in time than the target image. Such digital watermark embedment suppresses a delay in output of an output image with reference to an input image.
