TL;DR: In this paper, a communication method executed by a node in an ad hoc network having multiple nodes, including receiving from a neighboring node of the node in the ad-hoc network, is described.
Abstract: A communication method executed by a node in an ad hoc network having multiple nodes, includes receiving from a neighboring node of the node in the ad hoc network, a first packet that includes a sender address of the neighboring node and a first packet transmission count of packet transmissions from the neighboring node; extracting the first packet transmission count from the first packet; receiving from the neighboring node and after reception of the first packet, a second packet that includes the sender address of the neighboring node and a second packet transmission count of packet transmissions from the neighboring node; extracting the second packet transmission count from the second packet; determining whether the second packet is an invalid packet, based on the first packet transmission count and the second packet transmission count; and discarding the second packet upon determining the second packet to be an invalid packet.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a method to determine if a packet's signature matches the stored packet signature, performing an action associated with the packet signature in order to perform packet processing for packets from virtual machines.
Abstract: Packet processing for packets from a virtual machine includes receiving a packet from an external switch at a computer system hosting a plurality of virtual machines. If the received packet is a learning packet, storing a packet signature determined from the learning packet. For a packet to be transmitted from a virtual machine in the computer system, determining if the packet's signature matches the stored packet signature. If the packet's signature matches the stored packet signature, performing an action associated with the packet signature.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a method for assigning packet data to a radio packet data channel of a base station system in response to a packet traffic transmission request for a plurality of mobile stations in a mobile communication system.
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for assigning packet data to be transmitted to a radio packet data channel of a base station system in response to a packet traffic transmission request for a plurality of mobile stations in a mobile communication system. The method comprises collecting the packet traffic transmission requests of the radio packet data channel for the mobile stations; selecting at least one of the mobile stations from the collected packet traffic transmission requests; transmitting to the selected mobile station a channel assignment message including information about a data rate, data transmission durations of the radio packet data channel and start points of the data transmission durations for the selected mobile station; and transmitting the packet data to the selected mobile station at the start points of the data transmission durations at the data rate.

TL;DR: In this article, a 40 Gbit/s interface, optical code based photonic packet switch prototype is developed for the first time, with 200 Gchip/s all-optical label processing, 40 Gbps/s/port packet switching, and optical buffering to avoid packet collision.
Abstract: A 40 Gbit/s interface, optical code based photonic packet switch prototype is developed for the first time. Photonic packet switching with 200 Gchip/s all-optical label processing, 40 Gbit/s/port packet switching, and optical buffering to avoid packet collision is experimentally demonstrated.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method and apparatus for recovering from loss of an original data packet, including detecting data packet loss, joining a delayed multicast group, receiving a delayed data packet and using the delayed packet to recover the original packet that was lost.
Abstract: A method and apparatus are described for recovering from loss of an original data packet, including detecting data packet loss, joining a delayed multicast group, receiving a delayed data packet and using the delayed data packet to recover the original data packet that was lost. The delayed data packet is one of a copy of the original data packet, a copy of the original data packet encoded at a lower bit rate or a parity packet. Also described are a method and apparatus for staggercasting including encoding and compressing a first data sequence, packetizing the compressed encoded data sequence to form a data packet, multicasting the data packet to a first multicast group, encoding and compressing a second data sequence, packetizing the compressed encoded second data sequence to form a packet and multicasting the packet delayed by an offset time to a second multicast group.
