21 Sep 1978TL;DR: In this paper, a duplex-transmitter-receiver (DTR) arrangement was proposed where only a single oscillator is utilized for the transmitter and receiver for a digitally modulated radio communication system.
Abstract: A duplex-transmitter-receiver arrangement wherein only a single oscillator is utilized for the transmitter and receiver for a digitally modulated radio communication system wherein each location has a transmitter and receiver and a single oscillator is used for both the transmitter and receiver with a circulator switch connected respectively to the antenna, the receiver and the transmitter with the oscillator in the transmitter coupling through to the branch for the receiver so as to serve as a mixing frequency for the receiver.

TL;DR: In this article, screen-forming metallic means are provided, interposed between the antenna and the user holding the handset applied against his head, in operating position, sized and arranged in such a way that the cerebral volume of this user is situated essentially in the radio frequency shadow cast (X) by the screenforming means with respect to the antenna.
Abstract: This transmitter/receiver (1) is of the type comprising, integrated into the same hand-held assembly (2), an earpiece, a microphone, radio signal reception and transmission circuits, with a power transmitter stage and an antenna (3) radiating the signal produced by this power stage. According to the invention, screen-forming metallic means (5) are provided, interposed between the antenna and the user holding the handset applied against his head (4), these screen-forming means being, in operating position, sized and arranged in such a way that the cerebral volume of this user is situated essentially in the radio frequency shadow cast (X) by the screen-forming means with respect to the antenna.

TL;DR: An antenna using a primary horn radiator and at least one reflector, in which a wave absorber is positioned at a limited area of the center portion of the reflector for absorbing electric waves which would otherwise reflect from that limited area and be reapplied to the horn radiator, is described in this paper.
Abstract: An antenna using a primary horn radiator and at least one reflector, in which a wave absorber is positioned at a limited area of the center portion of the reflector, for absorbing electric waves which would otherwise reflect from that limited area and be reapplied to the horn radiator, so that reaction between the feed radiator and the reflector is substantially eliminated.

10 Apr 2016TL;DR: In this paper, the design and analysis of a reflector antenna system combining two doubly-curved Circular Polarization Selective Surfaces to provide a functionality equivalent to that of a dual gridded reflector but in circular polarization is discussed.
Abstract: This paper discusses the design and analysis of a reflector antenna system combining two doubly-curved Circular Polarization Selective Surfaces to provide a functionality equivalent to that of a dual gridded reflector but in circular polarization. The key feature of this design is to use a non-resonant CPSS design to avoid the bandwidth limitation of most CPSS designs previously discussed in the literature. A specific design at Ku-band is investigated and promising results are demonstrated, providing a cross-polarization discrimination higher than 25 dB over the full band.

16 Apr 2013TL;DR: In this paper, a TEM horn antennna for 0.1 to 1 GHz band design is described, which is appointed to emmitt subnanosecond high energy pulses of a high power short pulse generator, designed for testing of electronic devices resistance to high power electromagnetic pulse.
Abstract: In the paper a TEM horn antennna for 0.1 to 1 GHz band design is described. The antenna is appointed to emmitt subnanosecond high energy pulses of a high power short pulse generator, designed for testing of electronic devices resistance to high power electromagnetic pulse. The TEM horn uses tapered plates and their form was optimized using modelling and simulations in the CST Microwave Studio program. The designed horn parameters and antenna patterns are presented and discussed.
