TL;DR: Electron-rich arene-bearing hexahydroquinolizin-2-ones are formed in good yields and can be converted into indole alkaloids in only a few steps.
Abstract: Golden Cascade: With a tethered, electron-rich arene as the internal nucleophile, a gold-catalyzed amide cyclization to an alkyne initiates a cascade process that ends with a Ferrier rearrangement. Electron-rich arene-bearing hexahydroquinolizin-2-ones are formed in good yields and can be converted into indole alkaloids in only a few steps.

TL;DR: In this paper, the reaction of tri-O-acetyl-D-glucal with different nitrogen nucleophiles was effectively promoted by a catalytic amount of tris(pentafluorophenyl)borane for the first time in acetonitrile at room temperature to produce a variety of azapseudoglycals via Ferrier rearrangement.

TL;DR: In this article, a simple, mild, efficient and environmentally benign method for the synthesis of 2,3-unsaturated allyl C-glycosides and O- and S-Glycosides is described using phosphomolybdic acid supported on silica gel as a reusable catalyst with high α-selectivity.

TL;DR: RCAI-56 (3), a carbocyclic analogue of KRN7000 (1) was synthesized through an efficient coupling of a carba-α-d-galactose derivative 11 with cyclic sulfamidate derivative 13 of phytosphingosine to give 15.
