TL;DR: A vascular anastomosis staple is used in coronary artery bypass surgery as mentioned in this paper to create a leak-proof seal between a vascular graft and the ascending aorta in CABG surgery.
Abstract: A system for performing an end-to-side vascular anastomosis, including an anastomosis device, an application instrument and methods for performing a vascular anastomosis. The system is applicable for performing an anastomosis between a vascular graft and the ascending aorta in coronary artery bypass surgery, particularly in port-access CABG surgery. A first aspect of the invention includes a vascular anastomosis staple. A first configuration has two parts: an anchor member, forming the attachment with the target vessel wall and a coupling member, forming the attachment with the bypass graft vessel. The anastomosis is completed by inserting the coupling member, with the graft vessel attached, into the anchor member. A second configuration combines the functions of the anchor member and the coupling member into a one-piece anastomosis staple. A second aspect of the invention includes an anastomotic fitting, having an inner flange over which the graft vessel is everted and an outer flange which contacts the exterior surface of the target vessel. A tailored amount of compression applied by the inner and outer flanges grips the target vessel wall and creates a leak-proof seal between the graft vessel and the target vessel. A third aspect of the invention has a flange to which the graft vessel attaches, by everting the graft vessel over the flange, and a plurality of staple-like members which attach the flange and the everted end of the graft vessel to the wall of the target vessel to form the anastomosis.

TL;DR: In this article, a cardiac prosthesis fixing device made up of a tubular element that can be accommodated inside a valve annulus of a heart and is provided with a bottom flange and top flange, between which the valve can accommodate.
Abstract: The invention relates to a cardiac prosthesis fixing device made up of a tubular element that can be accommodated inside a valve annulus of a heart and is provided with a bottom flange and top flange, between which the valve annulus can be accommodated. According to the invention the bottom flange is bent, or can be bent, reversibly, against a resilient force, from a first outward-pointing position into a second position in which the projection of the bottom flange on a radial transverse surface of the tubular element is located essentially on and/or within the periphery of the tubular element and the bottom flange is fixed or can be fixed in said second position in such a way that the fixing can be released in order to bend back the bottom flange towards the first position under the influence of said resilient force.

TL;DR: A wheel support bearing assembly, which enables an increase in the strength and the fatigue strength of its wheel mounting flange or vehicle body fitting flange against high stress and repeated stress and the suppression of the increase of the number of processes, includes an inner member and an outer member rotatable relative to each other through rolling elements as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: A wheel support bearing assembly, which enables an increase in the strength and the fatigue strength of its wheel mounting flange or vehicle body fitting flange against high stress and repeated stress and the suppression of the increase of the number of processes, includes an inner member and an outer member rotatable relative to each other through rolling elements. The flange is formed on the inner member or the outer member, for example, a hub. A component part having the flange is a hot-forged product of steel in which a matrix portion is formed as a standard structure and the non-standard structural portion is formed on the surface of the flange. The non-standard structure is formed of either of a fine ferrite/pearlite structure, an upper bainite structure, a lower bainite structure, and a tempered martensite structure, or mixture of two or more of these structures.

TL;DR: A wheel bearing device comprises a rotor having a double row of raceway surfaces and having a wheel fixed thereto, an outer ring with a flange to be fixed to a knuckle disposed on the car body side, and a double-row of rolling bodies interposed between the respective raceways surfaces of the rotor and outer ring as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: A wheel bearing device comprises a rotor having a double row of raceway surfaces and having a wheel fixed thereto, an outer ring having a double row of raceway surfaces and a flange to be fixed to a knuckle disposed on the car body side, and a double row of rolling bodies interposed between the respective raceway surfaces of the rotor and outer ring. A pulser ring is disposed between the double row of raceway surfaces of the rotor, and a sensor opposed to the pulser ring is held by a holding member held between the flange of the outer ring and the knuckle, whereby the sensor can be disposed in the bearing inner space.

TL;DR: In this article, a urine-collecting bag with an opening for inserting a penis therethrough, the opening being made on one side surface of the bag, and a film for preventing a back flow of urine having a hole with a diameter being smaller than that of the opening, wherein the film and flange are fixed to the bag in this order in a manner such that holes correspond to the opening.
Abstract: A urine-collecting device comprises a urine-collecting bag having an opening for inserting a penis therethrough, the opening being made on one side surface of the bag; a film for preventing a back flow of urine having a hole with a diameter being smaller than that of the opening; and a flexible sheet-like flange having a hole corresponding to the opening, wherein the film and flange are fixed to the bag in this order in a manner such that holes of the film and flange correspond to the opening of the bag, and a circumstance of the hole of the flange is only fixed to the bag. Further, the film has a thin portion at the center and a thick portion therearound and the penis is softly sealed by the inner edge of the thin portion. According to a device of the present invention, the device is applicable to any kind of patient, does not either cause a feeling of physical disorder or injure a penis, enables a bedridden old man or sick person to urinate while lying in order to contribute to the care thereof, and can be used sanitarily without causing a leak of urine.
