TL;DR: In this article, a PANI thin film of 0.5 µm thickness has been fabricated using spin coating technique and the resulting PANI film was exposed to controlled humid condition and change in resistance has been recorded.
Abstract: Polyaniline (PANI) was prepared in emeraldine via chemical oxidation method using CuSO4 as initiating agent. The chemical characterizations were made using UV-vis (ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry), FT-IR (Fourier transform spectroscopy), TG- DTA (thermo-gravimetric/differential thermal analysis), ESI-MS (electrospray ionization mass spectrometry), XRD (X-ray diffraction), SEM (scanning electron microscopy) techniques. The results revealed the formation of homogeneous, crystalline PANI with sub-micron size particles. The PANI thin film of 0.5 µm thickness has been fabricated using spin coating technique. The resulting PANI film was exposed to controlled humid condition and change in resistance has been recorded. The resistance was continuously decreased from 13.5 to 3.75 MΩ with a linear change in humidity ranging from 3 to 95%. The result was reproducible and checked by repeating observation. TL;DR: The sensitivity limitations of Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy for the detection of molecular clusters formed in rarefied gas expansions can be overcome by synchronizing intense gas pulses at a low duty cycle with rapid interferometer scans.
Abstract: The sensitivity limitations of Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy for the detection of molecular clusters formed in rarefied gas expansions can be overcome by synchronizing intense gas pulses at a low duty cycle with rapid interferometer scans. This turns the broadband FTIR approach into a universal cluster spectroscopy tool applicable from the far (200 cm−1) to the near (8000 cm−1) IR. It nicely complements more selective and more restricted laser-based techniques and it provides a gas-phase variant of the matrix-isolation method, the main drawback being substance consumption. A survey over the capabilities, limitations and perspectives of this high-throughput nozzle approach to cluster FTIR spectroscopy is given.

TL;DR: In this article, a 3,4,9,10-perylene-tetracarboxylic acid-dianhydride (PTCDA) films on the Ag(110) surface by high-resolution electron energy loss (HREEL) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy were investigated.
Abstract: We have investigated 3,4,9,10-perylene-tetracarboxylic acid-dianhydride (PTCDA) films on the Ag(110) surface by High-resolution electron energy loss (HREEL) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. X-ray photoemission spectroscopy, low-energy electron diffraction (LEED), and quadrupole mass spectroscopy were used to control thickness, composition, and order of the vacuum-sublimated PTCDA films. Taking advantage of the high surface sensitivity of HREELS, it is possible to clearly distinguish molecules in direct binding contact to the surface from those being in a PTCDA environment, because the spectra show differential peak shifts of the vibrational lines for the former molecules. To aid the interpretation of the spectra, discrete Fourier transform calculations of the vibrational frequencies of the free molecule were carried out. The results are in good agreement with the experimental values for the molecules in the multilayer and allow the identification of most of the experimental modes, if experimental information from off-specular HREELS measurements is taken into account. By the comparison of the calculated frequency spectrum with FTIR data it is possible to extract the effects of the intermolecular interaction on the vibrational spectra.

TL;DR: In this paper, the Fourier transform spectroscopy was used to detect small perturbations in the A and D states of the NO system, and accurate energy term values were obtained for the A 2 Σ+ (v = 0 to 4), D 2Σ+ and E 2 ǫ+ vibrational levels.
Abstract: The D 2Σ+ → A 2Σ+, E 2Σ+ → D 2Σ+ and E 2Σ+ → A 2Σ+ systems of NO have been recorded at high resolution by Fourier transform spectroscopy. Numerous small perturbations in the A and D states are observed for the first time. Accurate energy term values are obtained for the A 2Σ+ (v = 0 to 4), D 2Σ+ (v = 0 to 4) and E 2Σ+ (v = 0 to 2) vibrational levels.
