TL;DR: In this paper, a covariant formalism was introduced to treat inhomogeneities in any spacetime, and exact evolution equations were found for these variables, and the linearized form of these equations were obtained, showing that they give the standard results for a barotropic perfect fluid.
Abstract: In a series of recent papers, a new covariant formalism was introduced to treat inhomogeneities in any spacetime. The variables introduced in these papers are gauge-invariant with respect to a Robertson-Walker background spacetime because they vanish identically in such models, and they have a transparent physical meaning. Exact evolution equations were found for these variables, and the linearized form of these equations were obtained, showing that they give the standard results for a barotropic perfect fluid. In this paper we extent this formalism to the general case of multicomponent fluid sources with interactions between them

TL;DR: In this paper, the general solution of scalar field cosmology in d dimensions with exponential potentials for flat Robertson-Walker metric can be found in a straightforward way by introducing new variables which completely decouple the system.

TL;DR: In this paper, the Noether symmetry approach was used to find the tachyon potential via the application of this kind of symmetry to a flat Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) metric.

TL;DR: In this article, the evolution of electromagnetic fields in curved spacetimes and the exact wave equations for the associated electric and magnetic components are derived for Friedmann-Robertson-Walker cosmologies.
Abstract: We consider the evolution of electromagnetic fields in curved spacetimes and calculate the exact wave equations for the associated electric and magnetic components. Our analysis is fully covariant, applies to a general spacetime and isolates all the sources that affect the propagation of these waves. Among others, we explicitly show how the different components of the gravitational field act as driving sources of electromagnetic disturbances. When applied to perturbed Friedmann–Robertson–Walker cosmologies, our results argue for a superadiabatic-type amplification of large-scale cosmological magnetic fields in Friedmann models with open spatial curvature.

TL;DR: In this paper, an exact swiss-cheese model of the universe is studied, where inhomogeneous LTB patches are embedded in a flat FLRW background, in order to see how observations of distant sources are affected.
Abstract: We study an exact swiss-cheese model of the Universe, where inhomogeneous LTB patches are embedded in a flat FLRW background, in order to see how observations of distant sources are affected. We find negligible integrated effect, suppressed by (L/R_{H})^3 (where L is the size of one patch, and R_{H} is the Hubble radius), both perturbatively and non-perturbatively. We disentangle this effect from the Doppler term (which is much larger and has been used recently \cite{BMN} to try to fit the SN curve without dark energy) by making contact with cosmological perturbation theory.
