Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the thermal instability of gallium nitride at temperatures as low as 600°C and observed emission spectra in terms of preparation temperature and dissociation.
Abstract: Gallium nitride has been prepared from gallium oxide and ammonia at temperatures from 600° to 1100°C. The emission of various preparations under cathode ray excitation has been investigated. Dissociation studies indicate the thermal instability of at temperatures as low as 600°C. Observed emission spectra are discussed in terms of preparation temperature and dissociation.
