TL;DR: In this paper, a multitubular heat exchanger is introduced with many internal tubes for heat exchange from the inlet 16, and it is passed through the tubes arranged in the vertical direction to heat a sealing gas flowing along the outsides of the tubes by heat exchange.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To considerably enhance the thermal efficiency of a glass melting furnace by utilizing hot waste gas from the furnace for heating powdered starting materials for glass. CONSTITUTION:Hot waste combustion gas from a glass melting furnace is introduced into a multitubular heat exchanger 14 provided with many internal tubes for heat exchange from the inlet 16, and it is passed through the tubes arranged in the vertical direction to heat a sealing gas flowing along the outsides of the tubes by heat exchange. The heated sealing gas is passed upward through tubes for heat exchange arranged in a heating tower 1 for starting materials for glass to heat powdered starting materials for glass supplied from a hopper 4 by heat exchange. At this time, the waste gas after the heat exchange in the sealing gas heater 14 enters the tower 1 and flows upward along the outsides of the tubes. The starting materials are heated by the hot gases flowing along the insides and outsides of the tubes in the tower 1, and the heated materials are taken out of the discharge outlet 7. Thus, heat energy of hot waste gas from the glass melting furnace is effectively recovered, and the thermal efficiency of the furnace is enhanced.

Abstract: The utility model relates to an outdoor gas heater. The outdoor gas heater sequentially comprises a top cover, connecting components, a heating net 1, a heating net 2, a glass tube, an air cover and a gas device from top to bottom, wherein the gas device comprises a gas burner; the air cover covers the gas burner; a through hole 1 matched with the lower end port of the glass tube is formed in the upper end surface of the air cover; a through hole matched with the upper end port of the glass tube is formed in the net surface of the heating net 2; the glass tube is installed between the air cover and the heating net 2; the heating net 1, the connecting components and the top cover are sequentially installed above the heating net 2. The outdoor gas heater uses two layers of heating nets, mixed gas is combusted in the glass tube, a sufficient combustion space and a sufficient heat source are provided inside the glass tube, flames reach the heating net 2 first and primary heat dissipation is performed through the heating net 2, and the flames reach the heating net 1 and secondary heat dissipation is performed through the heating net 1, so that through twice heat dissipation of the heating nets, the heat radiation range is widened and the utilization ratio of heat energy is improved.

TL;DR: In this paper, a supercharger is used to compress a suction gas to an engine through passages 3, 3' which are fitted with a cooling water from the engine, and a controller 8 is equipped with a function to switch the gas so that the selector valve 5 is changed over to the suction tank side when the load is large and to the tank side if the load remains small.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To construct a power generator in a small size, enhance the low temp. starting characteristics, and reduce emission of the exhaust gas (in particular, in the form of particulate). CONSTITUTION:Suction gas is compressed by a supercharger 1 and supplied to an engine 2 through suction gas passages 3, 3' which are fitted with a suction gas cooler 4. In this suction gas cooling device, a selector valve 5 is furnished in the suction gas passages 3, and the suction gas cooler 4 is connected with one of the branch paths while a suction gas heater 6 is connected with the other branch path, wherein passages 7, 7' supplied with a cooling water from the engine are connected with this suction gas heater 6, and further a controller 8 is furnished which operates the selector valve 5. The controller 8 is equipped with a function to switch the suction gas so that the valve 5 is changed over to the suction gas cooler side when the load is large and to the suction gas heater side when the load remains small.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose to automatically interrupt the circulation of gas, by blocking an opening of a valve by rolling a sphere when earthquakes happen, in order to prevent the leakage of gas.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To automatically interrupt the circulation of gas, by blocking an opening of a valve by rolling a sphere when earthquakes happen. CONSTITUTION:Gas enters a case from an inlet 9 before it is supplied to a gas heater and goes out from an outlet 10. When an earthquake happens, a sphere 2 falls from a pedestal 3, rolls in the case 1 and is stabilized at a location A where it is placed on a seat 4. If the seat 4 is made of an elastic material, the leakage of gas is perfectly prevented by the weight of the sphere. To return the sphere 4, a support plate 12 is brought down by demounting a coupling tool 14 connected to the case 1, the pedestal side of the case is lowered, and a light shock is given under this condition, thus the sphere 4 parts from the seat and rolls up to a location B.
