TL;DR: In this article, an optimization study of the heating element shape was conducted to reduce the differential pressure effectively and improve performance, and an integrated analysis model was applied based on actual operational data, a computational fluid dynamic analysis was conducted on the L-type heating element and GGH system.
Abstract: Gas-gas heaters (GGHs) are used to reheat gases through desulfurization in coal-fired power plants to reduce low-temperature corrosion and white smoke. Wrinkled heating elements are installed inside the GGH to perform effective heat exchange. An optimization study of the heating element shape was conducted to reduce the differential pressure effectively and improve performance. An integrated analysis model was applied. Based on actual operational data, a computational fluid dynamic analysis was conducted on the L-type heating element and GGH system. The experiments applied the optimal latin hypercube sampling method, and numerical analysis was performed for each sample. Based on the response surface, the result of the sample was optimized through the pointer algorithm. For the integrated analysis model, validation was performed by comparison with the actual operational data, and the thermal-fluid characteristics of the heating element and GGH system were analyzed to set three parameters: plate angle, undulated angle, and pitch 1. From the optimization result, increases in the undulated angle and pitch 1 reduce the pressure drop by widening the heating element cross section. By increasing the plate angle, the heat transfer area is secured and the reduced heat transfer coefficient is compensated, improving the GGH performance.

TL;DR: In this paper, a CO2 drying device consisting of a feed gas filter, an adsorption tower, a regenerating tower and a dried gas filter is described, which is used for drying CO2 collected from flue gas of power plants.
Abstract: The utility model discloses a CO2 drying device used for drying CO2 collected from flue gas of power plants and the like. The CO2 drying device comprises a feed gas filter, an adsorption tower, a regenerating tower, a dried gas filter, a dried gas flowmeter, a regenerated gas flowmeter, a regenerated gas heater, a regenerated gas cooling device, a gas-liquid separator and a valve pipeline. The CO2 drying device is characterized in that the compressed CO2 is filtered by the feed gas filter, and then filled in the drying tower for dehydration by a molecular sieve; the dried CO2 is filtered by the dried gas filter, and then the majority of dried CO2 enters the following liquefying procedures, and another branch part of dried CO2 is measured by the flowmeter and heated by the electrical heater, and then filled in the regenerating tower as regenerated gas; the regenerated gas coming from the regenerating tower is cooled by the regenerated gas cooling device, and then enters the liquid-gas separator; and the separated gas returns to the inlet of a compressor for pressurization. The whole set of the drying device adopts a skid-mounted structure, has compact structure, high dehydration rate and good CO2 drying effect, and runs reliably.

TL;DR: In this paper, a gas heater includes a support unit, a burner unit, venting unit and a frame guider, which is arranged for guiding and generating a flame pattern which is visible through the radiant unit.
Abstract: A gas heater includes a support unit, a burner unit, a venting unit and a frame guider. The burner unit includes an ignition unit, a hollow and transparent radiant unit defining a cavity in which the flame guider is positioned, a heat reflector and a burner top cover. The radiant unit comprises a bottom unit with inlet air passages through which an air flow into the radiant unit cavity is created. Then, the frame guider, which has a preset structure such as a spiral and a cone structure and a plurality of guider through-holes, is arranged for guiding and generating a flame pattern which is visible through the radiant unit. The venting unit, which is connected to the radiant unit in an air-tight manner, then provides an air exit. Accordingly, energy utilization is increased and visible flame pattern assemble to real flame can be seen.
