TL;DR: In this paper, a gear pump which includes a pressure balancing structure to ensure balanced pressure within the pump chamber during low flow operation is disclosed, and a groove is formed in the casing internal surface throughout the entire axial length of the gears.
Abstract: A gear pump which includes a pressure balancing structure to ensure balanced pressure within the pump chamber during low flow operation is disclosed. A groove is formed in the casing internal surface throughout the entire axial length of the gears and supplies high pressure fluid to positions within the pump chamber which are at a high pressure during normal flow operation. This groove thus ensures that high pressure fluid will be at all locations within the pump chamber which are expected to have high pressure during normal pumping operation. Forces on the gear are as expected during low flow operation, and that the gears will not be forced in an undesirable direction.

TL;DR: In this paper, a hydromechanical transmission with a mechanical gear and a planetary gear was used to achieve an infinitely variable flow of power through a tracked vehicle with a single motor.
Abstract: The hydromechanical transmission may be used in a tracked vehicle. It has a hydrostatic gear with a mechanical gear, and a planetary gear mechanism, both driven by a motor. The hydrostatic gear output works together with the mechanical gear to achieve an infinitely-variable flow of power through the hydromechanical gear. The planetary gear has three sets of planetary gears and five links, linking the hydromechanical gear with the output.

TL;DR: In this article, a hydraulic power brake booster powered by power steering gear pump pressure and utilizing an open-center valve so that fluid flows through the booster without pressure reduction when the booster is not activated.
Abstract: A hydraulic power brake booster powered by power steering gear pump pressure and utilizing an open-center valve so that fluid flows through the booster without pressure reduction when the booster is not activated. The valve assembly includes a radially floating valve seat which provides for self-centering, permits a valve separation operation to pass viscous cold hydraulic fluid or any elements which may tend to overly restrict the valve. It also includes a valve face design providing entrance and exit angles defining a venturi-type passage conductive to laminar flow with consequent reduction in valve noise, and has a hydraulic reaction mechanism which includes an arrangement for supported line pressure.

TL;DR: In this paper, a variable capacity fluid pump that can be controlled independently of the rotation of the engine is provided, and the fluid pump comprises a planetary gear-mechanism consisting of a first gear 20, second gears 22 and a third gear 18.
Abstract: A variable capacity fluid pump that can be controlled independently of the rotation of the engine is provided. The fluid pump comprises a planetary gear mechanism 12 having a first gear 20, second gears 22 and a third gear 18. The second gears are connected to a crankshaft of the engine and transmits a rotational force of the crankshaft. The third gear is connected to the fluid pump. The fluid pump further comprises braking means 14 connected to the first gear. The breaking means generates a braking force upon the first gear. The fluid pump further comprises a one-way clutch 16 provided between the second gears and the third gear. The braking means controls a rotational speed of the first gear so that a rotational speed of the fluid pump is controlled independently of a rotational speed of the crankshaft of the engine.
