18 May 1995TL;DR: In this paper, an electric pump is set in parallel with a gear pump mounted on the carrier 26 of the reduction gear of the transmission shaft of an electric motor to improve a lubricating action at the time of vehicle starting.
Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve a lubricating action at the time of vehicle starting in the lubricating device feeding lubricant with pressure by a mechanical pump driven by the power transmission mechanism which allows the whole of rotations to be suspended when a vehicle is brought to a standstill. CONSTITUTION: In the power transmission mechanism which transmits the output of a vehicle driving electric motor 10 to each driving wheel via a reduction gear 16, a differential gear 18 and paired transmission shafts 38 and 48, lubricant is fed with pressure to lubrication necessary areas from a forced lubricating oil path 50 by a gear pump (mechanical pump) 46 mounted on the carrier 26 of the reduction gear 16. An oil tank 52 is connected to the forced lubricating oil path 50, and when the discharge of the gear pump 46 exceeds a specified amount, lubricant is accumulated in the oil tank 52, and the oil level of lubricant accumulated is changed from A to B while being indicated by a broken line at the lower section of a case 14. An electric pump may be set in parallel with the mechanical pump.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a fluid transfer apparatus of the battery powered type for use in remote locations where conventional power sources such as 110V ac is not available, which employs a motor driven positive displacement gear pump having supply and discharge lines.
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a fluid transfer apparatus of the battery powered type for use in remote locations where conventional power sources such as 110V ac is not available. The apparatus employs a motor driven positive displacement gear pump having supply and discharge lines. The motor is equipped with a reversing switch and battery connection cables.

TL;DR: In this article, a portion of the plastic is confined between a rigid central shaft spline and a cup rotatable with the shaft so that the plastic cannot flow without two-dimensional or three-dimensional distortion or tearing, both of which are resisted by the plastic.
Abstract: Gear pump impellers formed of Teflon because of the softness and slipperiness of the material are difficult to connect to a metallic shaft. Yet Teflon is a very good material for gear pump impellers because of its low co-efficient of friction, chemical inertness and ability to withstand high temperatures and extreme temperature variations. In this invention a portion of the plastic is confined between a rigid central shaft spline and a cup rotatable with the shaft so that the plastic cannot flow without two-dimensional or three-dimensional distortion or tearing, both of which are resisted by the plastic.

TL;DR: In this paper, the external gear pump, comprising of a casing with a gear chamber and an inlet and an outlet, is used to supply a low pressure side and a high pressure side.
Abstract: External gear pump, comprising: a casing ( 3 a, 3 b ) with a gear chamber ( 4 ), comprising an inlet ( 5 ) for a fluid on a low pressure side and an outlet ( 6 ) on a high pressure side and comprising axial and radial sealing stays ( 7, 8 ); toothed wheels ( 1, 2 ) being in toothed mesh, wherein the external toothings of the wheels ( 1, 2 ) form delivery cells ( 10 ) for the fluid which are axially sealed off by the axial sealing stays ( 7 ) and radially sealed off by the radial sealing stays ( 8 ); and at least one pressure fluid supply ( 15, 16 ) through which pressure fluid may be supplied to the low pressure side, wherein the at least one pressure fluid supply ( 15, 16 ) opens on the low pressure side into a delivery cell ( 10 ) which is radially opposed by one of the radial sealing stays ( 8 ).
