TL;DR: In this article, a system and method for continuously producing and dispensing foam material including storage containers with respective delivery lines for delivering, via separate motor driven pumps, a foaming agent solution and curable synthetic resinous material to a mixing gun.
Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for continuously producing and dispensing foam material including storage containers with respective delivery lines for delivering, via separate motor driven pumps, a foaming agent solution and curable synthetic resinous material to a mixing gun. An air compressor supplies compressed air which is first heated and then directed to the mixing gun wherein the components are mixed in the proper proportions to produce and dispense foam to the point of placement. The system includes an electric motor which conjointly drives the separate pumps which supply the constituent materials to the mixing gun under predetermined constant pressures and continuous flow conditions so as to produce a homogeneous and continuous foam product of desired density generally free of streaks and inconsistencies. In one embodiment, pumping of the materials is accomplished by conjointly driven diaphragm piston-type pumps connected to a gear box of desired gear ratio and driven by the electric motor in a manner to provide high torque with relatively low motor power. In a second embodiment, pumping is accomplished by conjointly driven gear pumps in which at least one gear is of a type having internal teeth for pumping.

TL;DR: In this paper, a solenoid pump and associated hydraulic circuitry are intended for use in automatic transmissions capable of engine start stop (ESS) operation, where the solenoids are activated when the transmission is in gear and the engine is stopped to maintain hydraulic pressure in those actuators associated with first gear in order that a first gear vehicle launch may be quickly and smoothly achieved when the engine was restarted.
Abstract: A solenoid pump and associated hydraulic circuitry are intended for use in automatic transmissions capable of engine start stop (ESS) operation. In a first embodiment, a solenoid pump provides pressurized hydraulic fluid to respective inputs of two way check valves. The other inputs are provided with controlled hydraulic fluid from a transmission valve body. The outputs of the check valves are provided to those hydraulically operated torque transmitting devices associated with first gear. The solenoid pump is activated when the transmission is in gear and the engine is stopped to maintain hydraulic pressure in those actuators associated with first gear in order that a first gear vehicle launch may be quickly and smoothly achieved when the engine is restarted. A second, similar embodiment provides hydraulic fluid to actuators associated with reverse gear. A third embodiment includes a solenoid pump and a latching solenoid valve both communicating with a hydraulic supply between a variable output solenoid valve and a hydraulic actuator in an automatic transmission which maintains clutch pressure by compensating for leaks in the hydraulic components. In a fourth embodiment, a solenoid pump provides pressurized hydraulic fluid to the exhaust backfill circuits of one or more hydraulic operators in an automatic transmission.

TL;DR: In this article, the delivery pressure is applied to the bearings in two components, one acting axially upon the bearing and the other acting radially upon it in order to resist the tilting moment acting upon it.
Abstract: 782,701. Gear pumps. BROWN TRACTORS (ENGINEERING), Ltd., D. June 25, 1956 [March 23, 1955], No. 8397/55. Class 110 (2). In a gear pump, the delivery pressure is applied to the bearings in two components, one of which acts axially upon the bearing whilst the other acts radially upon the bearing in order to resist the tilting moment acting upon it. One set or both sets of end bearings are urged against the gear-wheels by fluid acting on piston and thrust-plate means, see Fig. 1 (not shown), whilst pressure fluid is fed through passages u, v 1 , v 2 to act on flats w 1 , w 2 machined on the bearings.

TL;DR: In this article, a vane cell pump with one or more feed cells is described and the peripheral edge face of at least one cell is formed by a displacement valve, which is radially adjustable in relation to the pump drive shaft.
Abstract: The hydraulic pump (42) connected to the bicycle's pedal crankshaft (25) is a vane cell pump with one or more feed cells (101). The peripheral edge face of at least one cell is formed by a displacement valve (90) which is radially adjustable in relation to the pump drive shaft (25). The displacement valve encompasses the pump drive shaft by an angle which is larger than the central angle of a feed cell.

TL;DR: In this paper, a planetary gear drive connected to a source of rotary power drives a barrel cam to reciprocate, with a smooth cycloidal motion, a series of pistons operatively connected to the cam.
Abstract: A pump having a planetary gear drive connected to a source of rotary power drives a barrel cam to reciprocate, with a smooth cycloidal motion, a series of pistons operatively connected to the cam. Each piston is reciprocatingly disposed in a cylinder for pumping fluid from a pump inlet to an outlet connected to the cylinders through a series of valve chambers.
