TL;DR: In this paper, the first pump conveys ink under pressure from a reservoir to a work head and a gear pump returns unused liquid from a collector at the work head to the reservoir.
Abstract: A hydraulic system, suitably an ink supply system for an ink jet printer, wherein a first pump conveys ink under pressure from a reservoir to a work head and a gear pump returns unused liquid from a collector at the work head to the reservoir. A bleed line connects an outlet from the first pump to an inlet to the gear pump. Accordingly, there is a flow of liquid via the bleed line such that the gear pump applies sufficient suction to the collector to draw air or a mixture of air and unused liquid therefrom. The flow is also sufficient to ensure adequate lubrication of the gear pump. The first pump may also be a gear pump, in which case the two pumps are formed as a double-ended pump.

TL;DR: In this paper, an epicyclic differential gear with a sum gear coupled to coupled to the generator and a ring gear is used to drive an electric generator at a constant speed over a range of speeds.
Abstract: An electric generator arrangement comprises a generator and a continuously-variable ratio drive, whereby the generator can be driven at a constant speed over a range of speeds applied to an input shaft. The drive comprises an epicyclic differential gear having a planet gear carrier driven by the input shaft, a sum gear coupled to coupled to the generator and a ring gear. The ring gear can be driven at varying speeds by hydraulic units to vary the ratio of the speeds of the input shaft and the sun gear. The hydraulic units are driven by the input shaft and the speed of the ring gear is controlled by an electro-hydraulic control system which is responsive to the frequency of an output signal from a part of the generator. Fluid under pressure for the hydraulic units and the hydraulic control system is provided by a combined pump and de-aerator on the shaft of another part of the generator.

TL;DR: In this paper, a multiple-power gear drive transmission comprising a planetary differential gear drive including a plurality of drive elements such as sun gear, web gear and internal gear is described.
Abstract: A multiple-power gear drive transmission comprising a planetary differential gear drive including a plurality of drive elements such as sun gear, web gear and internal gear. A gear drive input shaft is connected with at least one of the drive elements; a gear drive output shaft is connected with another of the drive elements; a first positive-displacement machine operable in both directions as pump or motor is coupled to a third of the drive elements for controlling the direction of rotation and speed of rotation thereof; and a second positive-displacement machine operable as a pump or motor is energy-transmissively coupled with the first positive-displacement machine. The planetary differential gear drive includes two of the sun gears which have different diameters; on web gear being arranged dual planetary gears, the gears thereof meshing with the sun gears and with an internal gear wherein the larger sun gear is connected with the gear drive input shaft. Shift couplings selectively connect the second positive-displacement machine in dependence upon the speed of rotation of the gear drive output shaft with either the gear drive output shaft or with the smaller sun gear.

TL;DR: In this paper, the pump heads comprising at least two gear-pump chambers are disclosed, each chamber comprises a housing which defines a corresponding pump cavity Each cavity contains a driving gear and at least one driven gear and has a separate inlet and outlet.
Abstract: Pump heads comprising at least two gear-pump chambers are disclosed Each chamber comprises a housing which defines a corresponding pump cavity Each cavity contains a driving gear and at least one driven gear and has a separate inlet and outlet The pump cavities are hydraulically interconnected by a fluid conduit allowing passage whenever the pump chambers are pumping a fluid so as to generate a higher pressure in one cavity relative to the other cavity, of the fluid from the higher-pressure cavity to the lower-pressure cavity sufficient to maintain hydraulic prime of both cavities

TL;DR: In this article, a method of changing gears of an automobile which moves the dog clutch in the axial direction at the time of gear change, while applying weak periodic torque vibration between the gear of the dog clutches and change gear of gear shifter, and disconnects the two gears and, after the gear, the dog's and the change gear's connecting forces have been disconnected, also moves the cat's clutches in a similar manner.
Abstract: To enable compactness by lowering the connecting force of dog clutch so as to decrease the energy consumption and reduce the size of a system. A method of changing gears of automobile which moves the dog clutch in the axial direction at the time of gear change, while applying weak periodic torque vibration between the gear of the dog clutch and change gear of the gear shifter, and disconnects the two gears and, after the gear of the dog clutch and change gear of the gear shifter have been disconnected, also moves the dog clutch in the axial direction, while applying weak periodic rotating speed vibration between the gear of the dog clutch and another change gear of the gear shifter, and connects the two gears.
