TL;DR: In this paper, the authors explored and recognized negotiation as a leadership skill in the hands of women and how women take up negotiation differently than men, and concluded that gender is an important factor on the path to power and the exercise of leadership.
Abstract: The main aim of this research paper is an exploration and recognition of negotiation as a leadership skill in the hands of women and how women take up negotiation differently than men. The paper addresses accounts of female leadership using the example of a large U.S. organization, which is considered a pioneer in its inclusiveness policies. The research methodology is based on a qualitative approach, which includes the use of interviews in the working environment of the target group of eight women individuals aged 41 to 57 (members of the prominent female pool - partners/leaders at the above organization), a global leader in professional services. The results show that negotiation skills can serve as a most effective means to women at the bargaining table on the path to leadership and help them unleash their hidden power. It also suggests that women differ in their negotiating approaches. The research implies that emotions and the ways in which women can learn to better use their emotional intelligence skills at the bargaining table can decrease the negative backlash phenomenon. The paper concludes that gender is an important factor on the path to power and the exercise of leadership. Negotiation is an imperative skill for women leaders to possess and to constantly improve. Recent research evidence suggests that the application of aggressive masculine ways in organizations and economies so far has proven unsustainable given the size of today’s globalized economic crisis. Helping women pursue their new roles as leaders, by making improved use of their principled way of thinking during negotiations and innate emotional intelligence skills can have long-term positive results for their organizations and eventually, economies and societies. Men who desire more work-life balance in their lives can help in sustaining results too. The results indicate an opportunity for policy makers and governments to create policies that will encourage women to remain a strong part of the talent pool developing into future leaders.

TL;DR: In this article, a novel approach based on frame analysis is taken to uncover China's national role conceptions and strategy within the context of the World Internet Conference (WIC), where the Chinese government uses this conference to promote its model of internet governance known as cyber sovereignty.
Abstract: This article aims to understand China’s national role conceptions and strategy within the context of the World Internet Conference (WIC). The Chinese government uses this conference to promote its model of internet governance known as cyber sovereignty. The foreign policy behaviour of China (role performance) as well as role prescriptions from the US are also analysed. A novel approach based on frame analysis is taken to uncover China’s national role conceptions. The related frames in this article are then categorized into national roles. China performs four national roles as part of its strategy to reshape international internet governance norms: developer, global village member, global leader, and law-abiding citizen. This article concludes that the national roles in the WIC are aimed at developing and emerging countries in order to increase China’s power and win gradual support for the cyber sovereignty model.

Abstract: The present paper aims to identify and explore the role of cultural values and global mindset in successful international leadership and the effects of global mindset improvement on supporting leaders to provide optimum solutions to challenging situations. The investigation of extensive scholarly works highlighted that the importance of global mindset to global leadership (GL) has received only limited attention. This article suggests that analytical intelligence (IQ), emotional intelligence (EI) and leadership behavior are complemented by cultural intelligence (CQ) in achieving a highly performant global leadership.

TL;DR: In this article, the main components of China's assistance to the countries of Southeast Asia in the post-coronavirus era, which are embodied in the implementation of “mask diplomacy”: 1) material assistance in the form of medical supplies; 2) assistance through the exchange of experience in combating infection (provision of medical teams).
Abstract: The article attempts to analyze China’s use of countering COVID-19 in the implementation of foreign policy strategy in the region of Southeast Asia. The region of Southeast Asia is seen by official Beijing as the object of the idea of building a “community of one destiny” proclaimed by Chinese President Xi Jinping. In turn, the fight against coronavirus disease and the provision of appropriate assistance to the countries of Southeast Asia is implemented by China as an element of the Belt and Road Initiative, namely its component “Health Silk Road”. The author analyzes the main components of China’s assistance to the countries of Southeast Asia in the post-coronavirus era, which are embodied in the implementation of “mask diplomacy”: 1) material assistance in the form of medical supplies; 2) assistance through the exchange of experience in combating infection (provision of medical teams). China’s multilevel approach to cooperation with the region in the post-coronavirus era was noted: 1) cooperation at the institutional level of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (ASEAN); 2) development of the LancangMekong mechanisms (China, Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand) and a subregional group that includes China, Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines namely East ASEAN. It should be noted that China’s intensification in the region of Southeast Asia in the direction of counteracting COVID-19 can be described as an element of Beijin’s “soft power”, as well as a tool to achieve regional and global leadership in competition with the United States using not only “mask diplomacy”, but also “vaccine diplomacy”. The precondition for such intensification of China in the region is a new aggravation of the South China Sea issue and active support of the states of the region by the USA at the present stage (US petition to the UN from June 1, 2020). The author concludes that providing assistance to the countries of Southeast Asia in counteracting COVID-19 successfully implements China’s idea of the achievement of global leadership, expanding the Belt and Road Initiative and establishing partnerships / subordination with ASEAN member states.
