TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a handshake processing method, a client side and a server, which can comprise the steps that digital signature information of a secret key used for performing PSK handshake is transmitted to the server, and summary information which is transmitted by the server and included in the digital signature is received, wherein the summary information is obtained by decrypting the signature information through the server; the preset handshake indication information and the summary is processed based on the preset summary algorithm so as to obtain the processing result.
Abstract: The embodiment of the invention provides a handshake processing method, a client side and a server. The method can comprise the steps that digital signature information of a secret key used for performing PSK handshake is transmitted to the server, and summary information which is transmitted by the server and included in the digital signature information is received, wherein the summary information is obtained by decrypting the digital signature information through the server; the preset handshake indication information and the summary information are processed based on the preset summary algorithm so as to obtain the processing result, wherein the handshake indication information is used for indicating a PSK handshake with the server; and when the processing result is identical with thehandshake indication information transmitted by the server, a PSK handshake request is transmitted to the server according to the secret key so as to perform PSK handshake processing with the server,wherein the handshake indication information is obtained by processing the handshake indication information and the summary information based on the summary algorithm by the server and transmitted. The handshake processing security and reliability can be enhanced by the handshake processing method, the client side and the server.

Abstract: QUIC is a secure transport protocol that improves the performance of HTTPS. An initial QUIC handshake that enforces a strict validation of the client's source address requires two round-trips. In this work, we extend QUIC's address validation mechanism by an out-of-band validation token to save one round-trip time during the initial handshake. The proposed token allows sharing an address validation between the QUIC server and trusted entities issuing these tokens. This saves a round-trip time for the address validation. Furthermore, we propose distribution mechanisms for these tokens using DNS resolvers and QUIC connections to other hostnames. Our proposal can save up to 50% of the delay overhead of an initial QUIC handshake. Furthermore, our analytical results indicate that 363.6ms in total can be saved for all connections required to retrieve an average website, if a round-trip time of 90ms is assumed.

Abstract: A method of operating a communication device includes, by the communication device, receiving a handshake initiation indication provided to the communication device via a wide area network. Based at least in part on the received handshake initiation indication, causing the communication device to enter a handshake mode. Based on the communication device having entered the handshake mode, autonomously operating the communication device in conjunction with a second device to configure the communication device for secure communication with the second device, wherein the communication device is further configured for routing data between at least a third device and the second device, via the wide area network and via the thus-configured secure communication between the communication device and the second device.

Abstract: A computer-based testing system and method, in which a process of a client machine receiving answer information and personal information of another test taker transmitted by a server, performing parameter estimation computation to obtain an individual ability value of the other test taker, and transmitting the computation result to the server is a communication process between the client machine and the server. The client machine communicates with the server by establishing a communication connection between the client machine and the server via the Internet, and establishing a communication connection to a PC located on the Internet on the basis of a handshake protocol, with the PC having communication connections to multiple servers on the basis of a handshake protocol. The present invention effectively solves the problems of the prior art, including a high information loss probability, poor communication latency and accuracy of existing communication modes between a client machine and a server, unsatisfactory cooling performance, a complex structure, and inferior drainage.
