TL;DR: In this paper, a communication method, device and system based on an SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), relates to the technical field of communication and mainly aims at solving the problem that in the prior art, security protection cannot be carried out on communication data in secure connection when a protection application cannot obtain a private key of a client.
Abstract: The invention discloses a communication method, device and system based on an SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), relates to the technical field of communication and mainly aims at solving the problem that in the prior art, security protection cannot be carried out on communication data in secure connection when a protection application cannot obtain a private key of a client. The main technical scheme provided by the invention comprises the steps of receiving a secure sockets layer SSL handshake data packet sent by the client; sending the SSL handshake data packet to a key server, thereby enabling the key server to respond to the SSL handshake data packet; receiving the response information of the key server for the SSL handshake data packet and generating a session key according to the response information; and decrypting a data request sent by the client through utilization of the session key and verifying the security of the data in the data request.

TL;DR: This paper trains a machine learning model on TLS handshake parameters to identify the operating system of the client device and compares its results to well-known identification methods and shows that precise operating system identification can be achieved in encrypted traffic of mobile devices and notebooks connected to the wireless network.
Abstract: Asset identification plays a vital role in situational awareness building. However, the current trends in communication encryption and the emerging new protocols turn the well-known methods into a decline as they lose the necessary data to work correctly. In this paper, we examine the traffic patterns of the TLS protocol and its changes introduced in version 1.3. We train a machine learning model on TLS handshake parameters to identify the operating system of the client device and compare its results to well-known identification methods. We test the proposed method in a large wireless network. Our results show that precise operating system identification can be achieved in encrypted traffic of mobile devices and notebooks connected to the wireless network.

TL;DR: In this paper, the modified WTLS handshake protocol has mutual authentication and key agreement against man-in-the-middle attacks, and the resulting security features, bandwidth efficiency, and computational load are analyzed in comparison with the existing WTLS.
Abstract: Forward secrecy and user anonymity are provided in the WTLS for the wireless Internet communications. Forward secrecy can be built by using Diffie-Hellman key agreement with random numbers in the Hello messages, and user anonymity by employing the signcryption scheme to the ClientKeyExchange and CertificateVerify procedure. In addition to these features, the modified WTLS handshake protocol has mutual authentication and key agreement against man-in-the-middle attacks. The resulting security features, bandwidth efficiency, and computational load are analyzed in comparison with the existing WTLS.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method, apparatus and system for transmitting a communication message, and belongs to the technical field of internet, is described, which comprises the following steps: receiving a handshake request message sent by a terminal; according to a corresponding relation between a pre-stored domain name and a service server address, determining a target service server's address corresponding to a target domain name carried by the handshake request messages; forwarding the handshake requests to the target service servers, and carrying out unvarnished transmission on a subsequent communication message between the terminal and the service servers.
Abstract: The invention discloses a method, apparatus and system for transmitting a communication message, and belongs to the technical field of internet. The method comprises the following steps: receiving a handshake request message sent by a terminal; according to a corresponding relation between a pre-stored domain name and a service server address, determining a target service server address corresponding to a target domain name carried by the handshake request message; forwarding the handshake request message to a target service server corresponding to the target service server address so as to enable the target service server to carry out a handshake processing process with the terminal; and carrying out unvarnished transmission on a subsequent communication message between the terminal and the target service server. By using the method, apparatus and system provided by the invention, the security of transmitting the communication message can be improved.
