TL;DR: In this article, Kata Kunci et al. analyzed the effect of the NHT model based on portfolio assessment on the competency of the fifth-grade elementary school students.
Abstract: The low competency of students' mathematical knowledge is caused by the lack of optimal models during learning so the students find it difficult to understand learning. It was proven by the results of observations, 53 students or 21.73% of Mathematics PTS scores had reached KKM while as many as 191 people or 78.27% had not yet reached the KKM. This study aimed at analyzing the effect of the NHT model based on portfolio assessment on the competency of the fifth-grade elementary school. This research was a quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent control group design. The population was all grade V elementary schools consisting of 10 classes of 244 students. The sample was determined using a random sampling technique so selected the fifth grade (Elementary School) SD 1 Mengwi of 34 students as the experimental group and the fifth grade Elementary School Mengwi of 35 students as a control group. In the process of data collection, the test was chosen as a research instrument in the form of an ordinary multiple-choice objective test so the obtained data in the form of mathematical knowledge competency values in the form of quantitative data, then it was analyzed using uji-t analysis with the polled variance formula. The results of data analysis obtained tcount = 4.351> ttable = 2,000 (α = 0.05 and dk = 67) then H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, which means that there are significant differences between the experimental and control groups. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the NHT model based on portfolio assessment influences the competency of mathematics knowledge in the fifth-grade elementary school. TL;DR: In this article, the distribution of gender exponents in early Middle English is discussed based on an analysis of two historical documents (Orosius, Peterborough Chronicle) and the most important factors responsible for the observable variation focusing on the properties of the head nouns and their referents.
Abstract: In this study we discuss the distribution of gender exponents in Old and early Middle English based on an analysis of two historical documents (Orosius, Peterborough Chronicle). The gender exponents investigated include demonstratives, adjectives, numerals and pronouns. We analyzed 179 noun phrases from the Orosius and 1,090 noun phrases from the Peterborough Chronicle. While the Orosius illustrates a highly consistent distribution of gender exponents, the Peterborough Chronicle contains substantial variation. As for the Peterborough Chronicle, we can demonstrate that the number of gender exponents that is used in conflict to the Old English gender system increases over time. In addition, we investigate the most important factors responsible for the observable variation focusing on the properties of the head nouns and their referents. Our results show that noun phrase internal and noun phrase external gender exponents behave differently. Moreover, formal properties of the head noun (structural and morphological case, number) are better predictors for gender variation than the properties of the referent (abstractness, degree of individuation).

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors determined the azimuth error between a write head (16) and a read head (34) by passing a multi-track tape past the write head and subsequently the read head.
Abstract: Azimuth error between a write head (16) and a read head (34) is determined by passing a multi-track tape (2) past the write head (16) and subsequently the read head (34). The signals written by the write head (16) and read by the read head (34) are analysed to determine the timing error (38) between best-match time-delayed portions (20-28) of these signals. This timing error (38) is indicative of the azimuth error.

TL;DR: If BT is regarded as defined over dependents structure, it follows that a pronoun in a picture NP with a possessor must be disjoint from that possessor phrase, which paves the way for an analysis of the reflexive data.
Abstract: This paper investigates the binding of pronouns and reflexives in “picture” noun phrases, and focuses on data showing that reflexives and pronouns are not in complementary distribution in picture NPs with possessors. In particular, we discuss data showing that whereas reflexives can take either the possessor or the subject of the sentence as antecedent, pronouns are restricted to an antecedent other than the possessor phrase. We suggest that this asymmetry can be straightforwardly explained if we assume that (1) the possessor of a picture NP is not part of the head noun’s argument structure and (2) Binding Theory is stated over “dependents” structure, the representation encompassing both a head’s argument structure and other phrases dependent on it in various ways. If the possessor of a picture NP (PNP) is not part of the head’s argument structure, it follows that reflexives in PNPs with possessors will be “exempt” from Binding Theory, which paves the way for an analysis of the reflexive data. Furthermore, we also show that if BT is regarded as defined over dependents structure, it follows that a pronoun in a picture NP with a possessor must be disjoint from that possessor phrase.
