TL;DR: In this article, the action of N-butyllithium in hexane on CF2BrCH=CH2/CF2=CH-CH2Br (5:2 yield 20:1 mixture) was described.
Abstract: : The action of N-butyllithium in hexane on CF2BrCH=CH2/CF2=CH-CH2Br (5:2 yield 20:1 mixture) in 5:1:1 THF/Et2O/pentane at -95 degrees C generates gem-difluoroallyllithium which may be trapped, generally in good yield, by the in situ procedure using triorganochlorosilanes (yield R3SiCF2CH=CH2) and aldehydes and ketones (yield RR'C(OH)CF2-CH=CH2). TL;DR: The direct liquefaction of a biomass composed of a mixture of wastes (straw, wood and grass) was studied using Nickel Raney as catalyst and tetralin as a solvent to obtain straight long chain alkanes (C(13)-C(26)), which result from the hydrogenation of the extractives compounds of the green waste.

TL;DR: In this paper, microwave radiation was suggested as a pretreatment technique to increase the yield of pomegranate seed oil, and the results showed that microwave pretreatment of seeds showed negligible influence on profile and the amount of fatty acids in obtained extracts, compared with its significant influence on extraction yield.

TL;DR: In this article, the catalytic effects of a sulfated zirconium oxide and a platinum-sulfated zirconium oxide during the isomerization of hexane are described.

TL;DR: In this paper, the solvent flux was measured in binary mixtures of ethanol and n-hexane for nine solvent-stable polymeric membranes in range of reverse osmosis (RO) to ultrafiltration (UF) in order to evaluate the influence of each component on permeation of the other.
