TL;DR: In this paper, a high dynamic range pixel system is described, where a photo sensor is repeatedly transferred to a storage node, where the charges are accumulated for later transfer to another storage node for output.
Abstract: A method, apparatus and system are described providing a high dynamic range pixel. An integration period has multiple sub-integration periods during which charges are accumulated in a photosensor and repeatedly transferred to a storage node, where the charges are accumulated for later transfer to another storage node for output.

TL;DR: Simulation and experimental results show that the proposed technique can accurately measure the 3D profile of objects with wide variation in their optical reflectivity.
Abstract: In this paper a new approach to enhance the dynamic range of a fringe projection system for measuring 3D profile of objects with wide variation in their optical reflections is proposed. The high dynamic range fringe images are acquired by recursively controlling the intensity of the projection pattern at pixel level based on the feedback from the reflected images captured by the camera. A four step phase shifting algorithm combined with a quality guided algorithm is used to obtain the unwrapped phase map of the object from the acquired high dynamic range fringe images. Simulation and experimental results show that the proposed technique can accurately measure the 3D profile of objects with wide variation in their optical reflectivity.

TL;DR: In this paper, the color model value for each pixel in the saturation region is adjusted by a corresponding adjustment, based on the characteristics of the image data, and the magnitude of the adjustment is based on characteristics of each pixel.
Abstract: Aspects of the invention provide systems and methods for converting a digital image represented in a lower bit depth representation to a higher bit depth representation. A saturation region is identified, where a color model value of the pixels in the saturation region is above an upper saturation threshold or below a lower saturation threshold. The color model value for each pixel in the saturation region is then adjusted by a corresponding adjustment. The magnitude of the adjustment for each pixel is based on characteristics of the image data.

TL;DR: In this article, an end-to-end network is proposed to reconstruct high resolution, high dynamic range (HDR) images directly from the event stream, which outperforms the combination of the state-of-the-art event to image algorithms with the state of the art super resolution schemes in many quantitative measures by large margins.
Abstract: An event camera detects per-pixel intensity difference and produces asynchronous event stream with low latency, high dynamic range, and low power consumption. As a trade-off, the event camera has low spatial resolution. We propose an end-to-end network to reconstruct high resolution, high dynamic range (HDR) images directly from the event stream. We evaluate our algorithm on both simulated and real-world sequences and verify that it captures fine details of a scene and outperforms the combination of the state-of-the-art event to image algorithms with the state-of-the-art super resolution schemes in many quantitative measures by large margins. We further extend our method by using the active sensor pixel (APS) frames or reconstructing images iteratively.

TL;DR: In this paper, a GeTe reconfigurable phase change switch for radio frequency applications is presented with low ON state resistance (180 Ω) and large dynamic range (7×103 X) achieved through low resistance electrode design and high current.
Abstract: A GeTe reconfigurable phase change switch for radio frequency applications is presented Low ON state resistance (180 Ω) and large dynamic range (7×103 X) were achieved through low resistance electrode design and high current A partial crystallization and partial reamorphization model is proposed to explain the differences between the measured and calculated device ON (set) and OFF (reset) state resistances, respectively The dependency between ON state resistance and reset current was estimated using a first order thermal design in steady state which suggests lower reset current by choosing materials of lower melting temperature and structures with better thermal isolation
