TL;DR: In this article, the surface of a cylinder is smoothed by fine drilling the cylinder bore and before exposing the hard solid phases, the cylinder surface is processed in a first honing step by using a honing tool whose cutting material is held substantially unyielding in a metal compound or resin so that a surface layer of the cylinder surfaces is removed.
Abstract: In order to expose the hard solid phases the cylinder surface is honed by reversing the light metal matrix instead of using an etching process. A honing tool is used whose cutting material is embedded in a pliable matrix so that the cutting material particles are pressed between the hard material phases to expose and round off same. The cutting material can be embedded in a porous matrix. When exposing the hard solid phases a mean roughness depth of 1.0 to 3.0 um is produced. After fine drilling the cylinder bore and before exposing the hard material phases the cylinder surface is processed in a first honing step by using a honing tool whose cutting material is held substantially unyielding in a metal compound or resin so that a surface layer of the cylinder surface is removed in which the hard solid phases were destroyed by the fine drilling.

TL;DR: In this paper, an automatic control means for controlling the incremental feeding of the tools and for compensating for tool wear are provided for adjusting incrementally or manually to effect fine feeding movement following the rapid advance thereof.
Abstract: A feeding device, especially for a honing tool, in which a frame is formed with a cylinder having a piston mounted therein and to which is connected a spindle or feed rod having the tools mounted thereon. The piston will effect rapid advance and retraction of the feed rod while the connection of the piston to the feed rod embodies threaded means which can be adjusted incrementally or manually to effect fine feeding movement of the tools following the rapid advance thereof. Automatic control means are provided for controlling the incremental feeding of the tools and for compensating for tool wear.

TL;DR: In this article, the utility model provides an ultrasonic wave metal surface processing machine, which belongs to machining equipment field, and comprises machine body, frequency conversion main shaft box, chuck and master control panel.
Abstract: The utility model provides an ultrasonic wave metal surface processing machine, which belongs to machining equipment field, and comprises machine body, frequency conversion main shaft box, chuck and master control panel. The features of the machine is: A precise guide rail pair that is parallel with chuck rotary axis is set before the machine body, sliding plate is set on the precise guide rail pair, turning precise feed system and ultrasonic surface processing system are set on the sliding plate, the turning precise feed system and the ultrasonic surface processing system are connected with high precise digital control circuit that is set in the frequency conversion main shaft, technical parameters are inputted and revised by operation stand on the sliding plate. Comparing with current technology, the utility model can make ultrasonic surface processing while making turning, can have high processing efficiency while ensuring accuracy of work piece sizes; and can replace grinding machine processing completely. In comparison with traditional processing means such as grinding, sand belt grinding, polishing, abrading and honing, the machine is more economic, has higher surface quality, has high processing efficiency, has equal accuracy with that of grinding machine after processing, and can realize integral processing by combining digital control lathe and digital control machining center.

TL;DR: An abrasive suspension for wet honing for surface treatment of an electrically conductive substrate for an electrophotographic photoreceptor was proposed in this paper, the suspension comprising pure water having suspended therein at least 20% by weight, based on the total weight of an abrasive and having an electrical conductivity of not more than 10 μs/cm.
Abstract: An abrasive suspension for wet honing for surface treatment of an electrically conductive substrate for an electrophotographic photoreceptor, the suspension comprising pure water having suspended therein at least 20% by weight, based on the total weight of the abrasive suspension, of an abrasive and having an electrical conductivity of not more than 10 μs/cm. A conductive substrate having its surface roughened by using the abrasive suspension is free from impurities.
