Abstract: The invention relates to a grinding force model for worm-shaped grinding wheel gear grinding, and belongs to the field of gear machine manufacturing. On the basis of a G.Wener grinding force model, the invention provides a new grinding force model for the worm-shaped grinding wheel gear grinding. Firstly, an approximate model is established according to the relationship of the geometrical shape and the speed of a honing wheel and a workpiece on a contact point in a worm-shaped grinding wheel gear grinding process; secondly, establishing a cuttings model on the basis of the approximate model, and calculating speed, grinding thickness and equivalent diameter in a grinding process; and finally, on the basis of the approximate model, establishing an intermedian-gear gear honing grinding force model. The grinding force model is suitable for the worm gear grinding and intermedian-gear gear honing processing method. The method is suitable for calculating grinding force in the gear grinding processing which adopts a worm-shaped grinding wheel and comprises a worm grinding wheel gear grinding method and an intermedian-gear gear honing processing method. The method makes a gear grinding process be approximate into an excircle grinding process so as to simplify a calculation process and fill up the blank in the grinding force model for the worm-shaped grinding wheel gear grinding.

Abstract: Honing is a process for finishing surfaces to obtai n smooth surface. This process is used for final polish of inner parts such as engines cylinders. Op timizing this process has always been a big challenge for mass production of cylinder blocks of internal combustion engines. Honing process has some variable parameters, thus to get their opt imum rates the automobile cylinders were tested. In this research, experiment design was done using Taguchi method and to make input constant parameters of the test consistence, cylinder was bo red using boring machine and in the next phase, cylinder was honed according to the design of exper iment. Abrasive particles were selected from the material of carbide silicone stone and the vari able parameters considered in this test were tangential speed, grain size, and the number of too ls course. In order to measure surface quality of each cylinder, roughness tester machine was used an d surface quality considered as output parameters of machining. Then, the results of the t est were studied and analyzed on software environment . According to the tests conducted, the optimum valu es of mesh stone of honing and optimum values of numbers related to the course number and rotation were identified on the best state.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To develop excellent cutting capacity over a long period of time, by forming a softened layer to the scoop-up surface of the base of a surface coated throw-away chip to reduce high temp. plastic deformation as well as to secure toughness. CONSTITUTION:A WC base pressed powder body is sintered to prepare a throw- away chip made of a WC base hard alloy having a softened layer with a thickness of 10-200mum throughout the total surface thereof. The surface part other than the scoop-up surface of this throw-away chip is removed by grinding and honing is applied to the ground part. In the next process, a hard layer comprising TiCN or the like is formed on the surface thereof by a chemical vapor deposition method or a physical vapor deposition method. Because this surface coated throw-away chip has the softening layer formed only to the scoop-up surface thereof, plastic deformation is hardly generated. Therefore, the recession or the initial abrasion of a blade chip are reduced and excellent cutting capacity is developed over a long period of time.

The sensors are contact-free magnetic circuits, the reluctance of which depends on the degree of proximity of a workpiece so as to variably couple a current source to circuits for actuating the valves.
