TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a composite honing ring comprising a honing part and a carrier part, whereby both components are made of different materials and can contain plastic resins in particular.
Abstract: The invention relates to a composite honing ring comprising a honing part and a carrier part, whereby both components are made of of different materials and can contain plastic resins in particular. The invention is characterised in that the abrasive honing part (1) has low porosity, especially less than 5 %, and perferably contains fibrous reinforcing elements. The carrier part has higher elasticity than the honing part. Since the carrier part is elastic, it damps machine vibrations and bearing vibrations received by said carrier part.

TL;DR: In this paper, the inner surface of a bore is finely machined in the compressed state using the honing tool to produce a circular bore cross-section, and the clamping force is removed to release the compressed region of the bore to obtain a bore with an oval crosssection in an unloaded workpiece.
Abstract: Process for honing an inner surface of a bore in a workpiece (13), especially in a connecting rod, using a honing tool (16) comprises compressing the workpiece in the region of the bore perpendicular to the bore axis (40) with a clamping force sufficient to deform the bore cross-section. The inner surface of the bore is finely machined in the compressed state using the honing tool to produce a circular bore cross-section. The clamping force is removed to release the compressed region of the bore to obtain a bore with an oval cross-section in an unloaded workpiece. Independent claims are also included for: (1) Device for honing an inner surface of a bore in a workpiece, especially in a connecting rod; and (2) Connecting rod comprising a connecting rod bar (19) and at least one connecting rod eye (17, 18) with a bore.

TL;DR: In this paper, a tool has grooves formed at an outer circumference of a tool body for receiving honing strips, where radial bores are provided at the bottom of the grooves.
Abstract: The tool has grooves formed at an outer circumference of a tool body (1) for receiving honing strips (17). Radial bores are provided at a bottom of the grooves. Feeding pins (11) are arranged in the radial bores. The pins transfer radial, outwardly aligned feeding movements and an inwardly aligned, return movement from a feeding rod (5) to the honing strips, where radial movements of the honing strips are carried out in both directions in form-fit manner. Forced control limits a feeding path of support strips (15) based on a position of the feeding rod in a radial direction.

TL;DR: In this article, an adjustable diameter honing head (2) with a honing strip (1) and a Honing rod (3) which is connected with the head is used to solve the problem of the machining accuracy of the deep hole internal conical surface.
Abstract: A device for honing a deep hole internal conical surface relates to petroleum machinery. The device comprises an adjustable diameter honing head (2) with a honing strip (1) and a honing rod (3) which is connected with the honing head (2), wherein the front end face of the honing strip (1) is an inclined plane which can be machined to form the internal conical surface in the inner cavity of a workpiece, and a universal device is connected between the honing head (2) and the honing rod (3). The device is simple in structure, is convenient to operate, is widely applied, and can be used for basically solving the problem of the machining accuracy of the deep hole internal conical surface.
