TL;DR: In this paper, the authors explored the influence of processing time on process performance parameters: surface quality of gear teeth profile, tribological performance of the teeth surface and process capability and thus, estimate the optimum processing time by graphical analysis.

TL;DR: A connecting element for the transmission of a rotary motion, in particular between a honing spindle and a tool, comprises a tube (14) which has a plurality of openings of equal size arranged symmetrically and uniformly, with the result that the remaining parts of the tube have a lattice-like structure as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: A connecting element for the transmission of a rotary motion, in particular between a honing spindle and a honing tool, comprises a tube (14) which has a plurality of openings (15, 16) of equal size arranged symmetrically and uniformly, with the result that the remaining parts of the tube (14) have a lattice-like structure. A certain elasticity of the tube in the sideways direction is thereby achieved.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors highlight the recent trends, i.e., moving away from monolithic materials in the crankcase towards coated liners with adapted surface structures generated by honing processes.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe development of theoretical models of volumetric material removal rate (MRR) and surface roughness depth (Rz) of straight bevel gears finished by pulse electrochemical honing (PECH) process in terms of the most influencing parameters namely applied voltage, pulse-on time, pulseoff time, finishing time, inter-electrode gap, electrolyte conductivity and workpiece gear rotary speed.

TL;DR: In this article, the use of diamond as hard cutting material enables the wear resistant coating to be honed and a high surface quality to be generated, which shows a significantly enhanced interface between the surface and the coating.
