TL;DR: A truing device that can form surfaces of hones, installed in a honing tool, into R-shapes (i.e. provided with rounded off edges or corners) with the same diameter as that of the tool or plane shapes is described in this paper.
Abstract: A truing device that can form surfaces of hones, installed in a honing tool, into R-shapes (i.e. provided with rounded off edges or corners) with the same diameter as that of the honing tool or plane shapes. A truing tool is provided with a penetrating hole through which the honing tool is inserted and at least a part of an inner surface of the penetrating hole is a cylindrical surface having the same diameter as that of the honing tool and at least a part of said penetrating hole inner surface is provided with cutting edges for hone grinding. A tool holder housing the truing tool attachably and removably is held in a jig body of a tool holding device in a manner that the tool holder can shake within a range of three dimensional minute angles, thereby allowing said truing tool to smoothly follow movement of said honing tool during truing.

TL;DR: In this article, a holder, guide, or jig for sharpening tools is disclosed, in which the jig holds and orients a tool to be sharpened to properly align the tool on or against abrasive wheels, discs, or sharpening stones.
Abstract: A holder, guide, or jig for sharpening tools is disclosed, in which the jig holds and orients a tool to be sharpened to properly align the tool on or against abrasive wheels, discs, or sharpening stones, thereby creating a fine, square, beveled edge on the tool, at a predetermined and accurately reproducible angle.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a method for automatic displacement control of a machining tool, as well as an apparatus for carrying out this method, which is accomplished at low motor speed and high limiting angular momentum.
Abstract: A method of displacing or feeding the honing tool of a honing machine dur long stroke honing when machining workpiece bores. Rapid displacement feeding or and subsequent machining displacement or stock removal feeding are effected with only a single motor employed in common for different operation, which is controlled in such a way that during rapid feeding or displacement it operates at high speed and low limiting angular momentum or torque limit. Due to the low angular momentum or torque limit during rapid displacement, the speed is rapidly reduced when the honing stones come to rest agianst the bore wall. The control mechanism thereupon reverses the single motor, returns the honing stones by a small amount, and changes over to the machining or stock removal feeding process, which is accomplished at low motor speed and high limiting angular momentum. When a pretermined finished size has been achieved, a displacement control mechanism returns the honing tool to its starting position. The invention covers a method for automatic displacement control of a honing machine, as well as an apparatus for carrying out this method.

TL;DR: In this article, a worm-shape or screw-shape hone is formed by molding synthetic polymers in which there are dispersed abrasive particles, to provide a Shore hardness of 15* - 75* and a Young's modulus 0.5 - 70 X 103 kg/cm2.
Abstract: A worm-shape or screw-shape hone, for honing gear teeth, has the tooth profile of the basic rack at its normal plane. The hone is formed by molding synthetic polymers in which there are dispersed abrasive particles, to provide a Shore hardness of 15* - 75* and a Young''s modulus 0.5 - 70 X 103 kg/cm2. The hone is engaged with the gear to be finished and is rotated by a motor with the hone driving the gear. During honing of the gear, the hone is fed parallel to the axis or tooth trace of the gear over the whole face width of the gear. The polymer material may comprise a cocured blend of polyurethane rubber and epoxy resin having a suitable flexibility, good resiliency and high abrasion resistance, and the abrasive particles may comprise alundum or carborundum, the abrasive particles being exposed at the working surface of the hone.

TL;DR: In this article, a method for completing high-precision machining of a valve body hole series on a machine tool of a machining center is described, where the valve body is firstly completed by milling and then a valve is clamped on the machine tool.
Abstract: The invention provides a method for completing high-precision machining of a valve body hole series on a machine tool of a machining center. The method comprises the following steps: milling is firstly completed; then a valve body is clamped on the machine tool of the machining center; after the valve body is drilled, expanded, bored and reamed, a rough honing knife, a semi-microhoning knife and a microhoning knife are mounted on the machine tool of the machining center; and vertical honing is completed through once clamping. The method has the advantages that a vertical honing machine is cancelled, and vertical honing is completed on the machining center, so the steps of drilling, expansion, boring, reaming and vertical honing can be completed only through once clamping; since the valve body only needs to be positioned once, the machining precision is greatly improved, the machining time is reduced at the same time, the input cost of equipment is lowered, the production efficiency is improved, the valve hole machining precision is improved by multiple grades, and the valve body is matched with a valve core and can be completely interchanged with the valve core.
