••
TL;DR: Anaerobic co-digestion of dried pellet of exhausted sugar beet cossettes with pig manure was investigated in a semi-continuous stirred tank reactor (SSTR) under mesophilic conditions to evaluate the methane productivities and volatile solids removal.
94 citations
••
TL;DR: The biodegradability of Pinus radiata bleached kraft mill wastewater by an activated sludge treatment during a period of 280 days was evaluated and the system showed destabilisation and pH, COD, BOD5 and suspended solids removal decreased, while removal of total phenolic compounds and tannin and lignin was seriously affected by HRT.

••
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of increasing dye loadings from 6.1 to 213.0 gm −3 ǫh −1 on decolorization and COD removal efficiency was investigated at constant glucose-COD concentrations in an UASB reactor.
93 citations
••
TL;DR: In this paper, a feasibility test was conducted through a series of batch cultivations, and a stable hydrogen yield of 0.79−±−0.03% was obtained at a substrate concentration of 20g−COD/L (based on carbohydrate), initial pH of 7.5, and continuous operation for a period of 80 days was then carried out using anaerobic sequencing batch reactor with a hydraulic retention time (HRT) of 6 days.

TL;DR: The succession of AD-related microbiome hosting diverse members of the phylum Actinobacteria, Bacteroidetes, Euryarchaeota, and Firmicutes, which were affected by organic loading rate (OLR) and hydraulic retention time (HRT), suggests the further subdivision of functional components.
