TL;DR: In this paper, the significant pels are identified and a resolution conversion characteristics selector selects one of two or more frequency conversion characteristics to be used for resolution conversion of the image signal using only significant pixels.
Abstract: An image signal expressing pel values and a significance signal, declaring for each pel whether the pel value is significant, are supplied as input signals. By referring to the input significance signal values for the pels proximal to the pel being processed, the significant pels are identified and a resolution conversion characteristics selector selects one of two or more frequency conversion characteristics to be used for resolution conversion of the image signal using only significant pels. A resolution converter then converts the resolution of the input image signal using the selected resolution conversion characteristic, and outputs the result as the image conversion apparatus output signal. Resolution conversion of the input image signal can therefore be accomplished by means of pel subsampling or interpolation without being affected by nonsignificant pels, and resolution conversion with minimal image quality loss caused by the conversion process is achieved.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose to increase the time to scan-process an area to be inspected, to reduce a time to perform the image conversion of inspection data, and to realize the processing of an image with high density.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase a time to scan-process an area to be inspected, to reduce a time to perform the image conversion of inspection data, and to realize the processing of an image with high density, by compressing the area to be inspected corresponding to the density of the image that is a target to be inspected. CONSTITUTION:The target 21 to be inspected is processed by a scan processing means 32, and the image is processed by an electrical processing means 23 by inputting it, and processed image data is stored in a storage means 24. And a pattern 25 to be inspected generated from the above stored image data is collated with a pattern 28 for inspection generated by processing data 26 for inspection by an image conversion processing means 27 by a comparing and collating means 29. In such a case, image linear density is detected 30, and the inspection is performed by synchronizing the time to scan-process the target 21 in a compression area 22 by compressing 32 the inspection area 22 to 1/A with the time to process the image conversion of the data 26 to inspect the target to be inspected in an expansion area 22 by expanding 31 the target 21 by A times when the image linear density is high.

TL;DR: In this article, a method and a device for dynamic video mosaic is presented, where the video image of each frame is processed by a GPU (graphics processing unit), and the video can be fluently played after being added with mosaic.
Abstract: The invention discloses a method and a device for realizing dynamic video mosaic The method mainly comprises the following steps of S101, establishing a feature training database by training an image collection; S102, establishing a timer, and grabbing frame data of video images in a timing way; S103, monitoring a feature area, and preprocessing the images; S104, comparing the preprocessed images with the images in the training database, so as to identify the feature area; S105, carrying out image conversion on the identified feature area; and S106, generating a video file according to the converted frame data Through the technical scheme, the method and the device have the advantage that the video image of each frame is processed by a GPU (graphics processing unit), and the video can be fluently played after being added with mosaic

TL;DR: In this article, a music/image conversion device which can convert the music into an image that has the concreteness of visual art is presented, where the action database is used to store the actions of an articulate body.
Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a music/image conversion device which can convert the music into an image that has the concreteness of visual art. CONSTITUTION: An action database 107 stores the actions of an articulate body. An action generation part 106 retrieves the actions out of the database 107 based on the chord detected by a chord detection part 105 when the leading point of sound volume is detected by a peak detection part 103. Thus the part 106 generates the action data. Thereby, such images that have the concrete shapes and movement, e.g. an image of a human being who is dancing on the music can be generated.

TL;DR: In this article, an image analysis unit (101) performs image feature analysis on an input image and outputs an image feature vector (IINFV), while a parameter output unit (10) stores a plurality of image feature vectors and a plurality parameter values of the illumination equations corresponding to the vectors and output an original parameter value (IinLEP) corresponding to image features and a parameter operation setting unit (106) decides a parameter operator content according to the image conversion specified.
Abstract: An image analysis unit (101) performs image feature analysis on an input image (IIN) and outputs an image feature vector (IINFV). A parameter output unit (10) stores a plurality of image feature vectors and a plurality of parameter values of the illumination equations corresponding to the vectors and outputs an original parameter value (IINLEP) corresponding to the image feature vector (IINFV). A parameter operation setting unit (106) decides a parameter operation content according to the image conversion specified. A parameter operation unit (104) operates the original parameter value (IINLEP) according to the instruction from the parameter operation setting unit (106) and obtains a new parameter value (IOUTLEP). An image generation unit (107) generates an output image (IOUT) according to the new parameter value (IOUTLEP).
