TL;DR: In this paper, an electronic component mounting device and an image reading method used by the EH mounting device, such that the time required for reading images can be reduced by using image reading units having a simplified structure so as to eliminate restrictions which are caused by the array direction of line sensors.
Abstract: The objective of the present invention is to provide an electronic component mounting device and an image reading method used by the electronic component mounting device, such that the time required for reading images can be reduced by using image reading units having a simplified structure so as to eliminate restrictions which are caused by the array direction of line sensors and imposed upon the operations of mounting heads. The image reading units (6A, 6B) for reading images of electronic components held by the mounting heads (14A, 14B) are each configured to have a line sensor that is tilted at a placement angle with respect to a first direction; which mounting head (14A, 14B) should be assigned for a first-direction scanning operation or a second-direction scanning operation is selected on the basis of scanning operation selection conditions that have been set in advance; and in an image acquisition step for obtaining images from the image reading units (6A, 6B), image conversion processing is executed such that a two-dimensional image is generated by juxtaposing one-dimensional images which are obtained by transforming one-dimensional images output sequentially from the line sensors to the degree of the placement angle.

TL;DR: In this paper, methods and computer executable instructions are provided for converting original images such as photographic pictures into various other formats such as drawings by reducing the amount of data contained in the original images.
Abstract: Methods and computer executable instructions are provided for converting original images such as photographic pictures into various other formats such as drawings by reducing the amount of data contained in the original images. It is a feature of this invention that a photographic picture can be converted into a drawing useful as a template to enable a person to paint the template into a likeness of the photographic picture. In a preferred embodiment, an original image is supplied to a computing environment where it is quantized into pixels of information. Each scalar value of each pixel is evaluated and aberrant pixels are absorbed into adjacent pixels by converting various scalar values. Thereafter, pixels having similar scalar values are grouped into regions. The boundaries between the regions are absorbed into each of the surrounding regions to provide a smoothed boundary. The regions then provide a template conducive to painting.

TL;DR: In this article, an image processing apparatus has been used to coordinate-convert images acquired by in-vehicle cameras incorporated at different positions in an own vehicle, directions connecting between a sight-line starting position of a driver and predetermined positions of the own vehicle.
Abstract: An image processing apparatus has stored therein in advance, as image conversion parameters to coordinate-convert images acquired by in-vehicle cameras incorporated at different positions in an own vehicle, directions connecting between a sight-line starting position of a driver and predetermined positions of the own vehicle, values of a depression angle from the sight-line starting position of the driver, and a range that the driver is caused to visualize, for each of the in-vehicle cameras, corresponding to a state of the own vehicle. The image processing apparatus receives from the driver an input of a display output condition, and determines a current state of the own vehicle. The image processing apparatus acquires the image conversion parameters based on the display output condition and the current state of the own vehicle, and converts images captured by the in-vehicle cameras, by using the acquired image conversion parameters, and outputs the images.

TL;DR: In this article, an image conversion method and a device capable of converting an RGB (Red Green Blue) signal to an RGBW signal was described, which is characterized by comprising the following steps of determining a replacement rate of a W brightness output value of each pixel in each frame according to RGB brightness input value.
Abstract: The invention discloses an image conversion method and an image conversion device capable of converting an RGB (Red Green Blue) signal to an RGBW (Red Green Blue White) signal The image conversion method is characterized by comprising the following steps of determining a replacement rate of a W brightness output value of each pixel in each frame according to an RGB brightness input value of each pixel in each frame, and an accumulation proportion of an RGB brightness output value and a W brightness output value in an RGBW brightness output value of each pixel within the preset time before each frame; and determining the RGBW brightness output value of each pixel in each frame according to the determined replacement rate of the W brightness output value of each pixel in each frame and the RGB brightness input value According to the image conversion method and the image conversion device, the RGBW brightness output value of each pixel in the frame is adjusted according to the usage rate of each sub-pixel in each pixel within a period of time before each frame, so that the service lifes of all sub-pixels in all pixels are basically kept as consistent as possible, thus the service life of the whole display is prolonged
