SOLUTION: A block re-division processing section 103 re-divides a block into small blocks. An image conversion processing section 104 extracts an edge and a pixel mean value from the image data in each small block. A coding processing section 106 converts the image data in the block into fixed length data, on the basis of the presence or absence of the edge in each extracted small block and a conversion table 105. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a display control method for Web images characterized in that the Web server execute a step of sending back document shaping data in which the effect that image data specification information and size specification information are supplied to an image conversion server is described and the image conversion server executes the steps of: acquiring the image data specification information and size specification information from the accessing browser terminal; taking specified original image data out of an image data storage part; setting a display size of a Web image on the browser terminal according to the size specification information; converting the original image data into display image data of the display size; and sending the display image data out to the browser terminal. SOLUTION: This component recognizing system has an image processing means 3 having an image conversion function for storing pattern data indicating a feature of the specific component and converting image data into data on hue, chroma and brightness; a pattern matching function for performing pattern matching by using the pattern data at each converted image data and calculating the data regarding the evaluation of the matching, based on the preset evaluation reference, respectively; and a component recognizing function for determining the existence of the specific component, if the data, determined that it is the most highly evaluated one among the calculated evaluation data, satisfies a prescribed acceptable reference by comparing the data with the acceptable reference. Abstract: The invention discloses a method and a system for internet image conversion. The method comprises the following steps: 1 receiving an image conversion request which comprises a conversion parameter by a front end cache device, judging whether an image which is converted according to the image conversion request is stored in a cache, if yes, picking up and returning the converted image from the cache to a client side, if not, sending the image conversion request to an image conversion device; 2 converting the image by the image conversion device according to the image conversion request, returning the converted image to the client side, and storing the converted image to the cache of the front end cache device.
