TL;DR: In this paper, the problem of correcting keystone distortion in response to a zoom position of a projection means in the case of oblique projection was addressed by using an image projector to adjust the value at the zoom position and using the parameter after adjustment to generate an address of the displayed image.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily correct keystone distortion in response to a zoom position of a projection means in the case of oblique projection SOLUTION: An image projector includes: a projection means 5 for projecting a display image 3a on an LCD panel 3 onto an external screen 101 by utilizing light; a detection means 7 for detecting its zoom position; and an image conversion means 2a The image conversion means 2a has a parameter (eg, a projection distance) specified to change a size of an image distorted on the screen, adjusts the value at the zoom position and uses the parameter after adjustment to generate an address of the panel displayed image 3a Assigning the data obtained by converting received image data to the generated address generates the display image 3a Since the address of the distorted image includes information of the zoom position, the distortion is corrected with high accuracy for any zoom position COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for two-dimensional to stereoscopic image conversion is proposed, which consists of detecting a face in a 2D image, determining a body region based on the detected face, and providing a color model from a portion of the determined body region, a part of detected face or a combination of both parts.
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method of two-dimensional to stereoscopic image conversion, the method comprising detecting a face in a two-dimensional image; determining a body region based on the detected face; providing a color model from a portion of the determined body region, a portion of the detected face, or a combination of both portions; calculating a similarity value of at least one image pixel of the two-dimensional image based on the provided color model; and assigning a depth value of the image pixel based on the calculated similarity value to generate a stereoscopic image.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of controlling a proportion of the size of a reproduced image equal to the unevenness of a subject, by using arithmetic operation processings, without having to depend on an optical apparatus used for photographing a subject and displaying the photographed image. SOLUTION: The stereoscopic image conversion apparatus 10 is provided with: a distribution means 11 for distributing light waves of a first constituent image group for each constituent image; a first constituent image conversion means 12 for converting the distributed light waves of the constituent image into light waves, which pass through a first virtual opening group and propagate to a second virtual opening group having an opening pitch which differs from that of a first virtual opening group; an addition means 13 for adding the converted light waves of each of the constituent images at the incident surface of a second virtual opening group; a redistribution means 14 for redistributing the added light waves for each of constituent images forming the second constituent image group; a second constituent image conversion means 15 for converting the redistributed constituent light waves into light waves which propagate by a distance, at which an image passing through the second virtual opening group is formed; and a combining means 16 for combining the converted light waves and generating the second constituent image group. TL;DR: In this article, the problem of creating a plane image that is the base of a printing plate for a print image to be attached to a shoulder of a can body such as a bottle-shaped can or aerosol can, in consideration of consumers' sight angle is solved.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a plane image that is the base of a printing plate for a print image to be attached to a shoulder of a can body such as a bottle-shaped can or aerosol can, in consideration of consumers' sight angle, such that the print image attached to the shoulder is viewed in the least incongruous, optimum state when the can body is viewed from the sight angle. SOLUTION: In an original image input step, an original image yet to be image-converted is read in as digital pixel information about each pixel. In a shoulder shape setting step, a molded shoulder shape is set. In a sight angle setting step, a sight angle is set as an inclination angle to a can axis. A plane perpendicular to the sight angle set in the sight angle setting step is set as a virtual projection plane. The image conversion is then performed according to the digital pixel information about the original image such that an image projected onto the virtual projection plane from the molded shoulder is a desired image, to form a plane image that is the base of a printing plate. TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed an image conversion processing method and system, which comprises acquiring pixel depths of a pixel dot before and after image conversion and the pixel value of apixel dot before image conversion, and accordingly acquiring the high value and low value of the pixel dot; extracting the low residual value of pixel dot according to the low values of the vertex, and subjecting the low value and high value of vertex to summarization to give the pixel values of vertex after pixel conversion.
Abstract: The invention adapts to an image processing field, and provides an image conversion processing method and system. The method comprises acquiring pixel depths of a pixel dot before and after image conversion and the pixel value of a pixel dot before image conversion, and accordingly acquiring the high value and low value of the pixel dot; extracting the low residual value of the pixel dot according to the low value of the pixel dot; and subjecting the low residual value and the high value of the pixel dot to summarization to give the pixel value of the pixel dot after image conversion. By transferring low residual value corresponding information into the high value of the pixel dot, the obtained high value is the pixel value of the pixel dot after image conversion. The invention can solve the problems such as image distortion caused by grayscale information loss during high grayscale to low grayscale image conversion, and over much step-like color disorder, can be applied to various existing display systems, and has strong practicability.
