27 Oct 2005TL;DR: In this paper, an image conversion utility is embodied in code that, in response to receiving an image request from a device management tool, retrieves an image from a target device that is a target of the image request, the image illustrating at least a portion of the device; convert the image to a format supported by the device manager; and return the converted image to the device management tools.
Abstract: In one embodiment, an image conversion utility is embodied in code that, in response to receiving an image request from a device management tool: 1) retrieve an image from a device that is a target of the image request, the image illustrating at least a portion of the device; 2) convert the image to a format supported by the device management tool; and 3) return the converted image to the device management tool. Other embodiments are also disclosed.

TL;DR: In this paper, a fisheye image conversion method and device is presented, which does not need the steps of correcting the fishee image to a planar graph without distortion and then converting the planar graphs without distortion to the panorama.
Abstract: The embodiment of the invention provides a fisheye image conversion method and device. The method comprises: obtaining a fisheye image to be converted; converting the coordinates of each pixel in the fisheye image to the coordinates in a panorama, and establishing a mapping relation between the coordinates of each pixel in the fisheye image and the coordinates in the panorama; and according to the mapping relation, sampling the pixels corresponding to the coordinates in the panorama from the fisheye image, and converting the fisheye image to the panorama. The fisheye image conversion method and device do not need the steps of correcting the fisheye image to a planar graph without distortion and then converting the planar graph without distortion to the panorama to reduce the steps and links in the process, improve the conversion efficiency so as to realize the real-time conversion of the fisheye image obtained in real time.

20 Jun 2002TL;DR: In this paper, a pixel of interest of the multi-valued image information is generated on the basis of the multiview image information and the control is made to forcibly set the processing result of the image conversion process to be a predetermined value.
Abstract: When input N-bit multi-valued image information having density information is converted into M-bit (N≧M) image information and the converted image information is output, information (S signal) indicating whether or not an image conversion process is executed for one line including a pixel of interest of the multi-valued image information is generated on the basis of the multi-valued image information. Only when the S signal indicating that the image conversion process is to be skipped successively appears for a number of times equal to or larger than “the number of lines required for the process”+1, the control is made to forcibly set the processing result of the image conversion process to be a predetermined value, and to inhibit execution of the image conversion process for one line including the pixel of interest of the multi-valued image data.

TL;DR: In this paper, a tone curve TC 2 was used to display an image pickup object with a prescribed grey level number even when the lightness of the imaging object is changed, where the tone curve was displaced in parallel so that the object luminance AK came to the middle of the steep part.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an image pickup object with a prescribed grey level number even when the lightness of the imaging object is changed. SOLUTION: When an object H is picked up so as to have a luminance coincident with a target luminance AK, a tone curve TC 2 wherein a gradient of a proper exposure range of the object H is steep and the gradient of other ranges is gentle is used and gradation processing is applied to image data GD, and when the luminance AK is changed, the tone curve TC 2 is displaced in parallel so that the object luminance AK comes to the middle of the steep part.
