TL;DR: In this article, a matrix conversion part 12 converts a processing object image into an image matrix with the luminance value of each pixel of each image as elements, and a smoothing part 13 performs the convolution of a smoothed matrix with respect to the image matrix converted by the matrix part 12, and generates a smooth image matrix using the smoothed image obtained by smoothing the processing object images as elements.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove the non-uniformity of a luminance value in a processing object image with high precision without using the determination of a weighting factor SOLUTION: A matrix conversion part 12 converts a processing object image into an image matrix with the luminance value of each pixel of the processing object image as elements Also, a smoothing part 13 performs the convolution of a smoothed matrix with respect to the image matrix converted by the matrix conversion part 12, and generates a smoothed image matrix with the luminance value of each pixel of the smoothed image obtained by smoothing the processing object image as elements A division part 16 calculates a division processing matrix by performing the division processing to the image matrix by the smoothed image matrix, and an image conversion part 19 converts the division processing matrix calculated by the division part 16 into an matrix COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT

TL;DR: In this paper, a wide-band wide-angle camera is used to perform zoom-up and panning without physically moving a camera system by wideband transmitting image data obtained by a camera provided with a wide angle lens and performing an image conversion processing on a transmission side or a reception side.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform zoom-up and panning, etc., without physically moving a camera system by wide-band transmitting image data obtained by a camera provided with a wide angle lens and performing an image conversion processing on a transmission side or a reception side. SOLUTION: The camera 2 is provided with the wide angle lens (fisheye lens, preferably) and digitizes and outputs the image data obtained by a CCD sensor. An image processing circuit 3 compression-processes the image data and a transmitter 4 transmits the entire signals including voice interleaved by a controller 5 through a wide band width network to a reception part 20. A receiver 21 receives the signals from plural video sources and the controller 24 supports the entire video/audio system. The image processing circuit 22 corrects the distortion of a spherical lens from received wide angle images and converts them to plane images. Also, corresponding to an instruction from an input device 25, a part of the images is selected and the images are re- mapped as if a still camera is moving.

TL;DR: In this article, a method for real-time splicing of video frames is presented, which uses a phase correlation method to compute the overlapped area of video frame images to be spliced.
Abstract: The invention discloses a method for splicing videos in real time and belongs to technical field of video image processing. The method computes the overlapped area of video frame images to be spliced by using a phase correlation method, improves a SURF (Speeded UP Robust Features) algorithm, simplifies the generation process of a characteristic point descriptor in the SURF algorithm, reduces the dimensionality of the descriptor, extracts the characteristic points of the overlapped area of the video frames by using the improved SURF algorithm. The invention provides an image registration method based on characteristic block matching to match the characteristic points, decrease calculated amount, increase computational efficiency, and quickly solve an image conversion model by using the characteristic block matching. Finally the invention provides a projection matrix updating method based on a correlation coefficient. The projection matrix updating method is used for updating a projection matrix, prevents erroneous splicing results, and fusing the video frame images so as to splice the videos in real time.
