24 Sep 2004TL;DR: In this article, an image processing apparatus includes a first image converter that performs first image conversion on an original image and that obtains a converted image, a conversion information generator that generates conversion information determined based on a relationship between the original images and the converted images obtained by the first image converters.
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a first image converter that performs a first image conversion on an original image and that obtains a converted image, a conversion information generator that generates conversion information determined based on a relationship between the original image and the converted image obtained by the first image converter, and a holding unit that holds the conversion information generated by the conversion information generator and the converted image subjected to the first image conversion while making the conversion information and the converted image correspond to each other.

TL;DR: In this paper, the problem of automatically printing a poster with a final print output size specified, by specifying a print medium size and a print output output size, was solved by converting the input image from the image input section 31 into the print output.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically print a poster with a final print output size specified, by specifying a print medium size and a print output size. SOLUTION: An image input section 31 inputs an image for printout. A print medium size specification section 33 specifies the print output size. An image conversion section 37 converts the input image from the image input section 31 into the print output size. Based on the above print output size and the print medium size, a dividing processing calculation section 35 calculates division information of the plane of the print output size. Based on the converted image obtained by the image conversion section 37 and the calculation result by the division processing calculation section 35, a division print data generation section 39 generates a division print data of the above converted image. TL;DR: In this article, an image estimation method is proposed to estimate image data at any focus position from N pieces of image data, where N is an integer not less than 2, by using arithmetic means where a maximum value of zis defined as z and a minimum value of zero defined as zero from the image data of a subject acquired by using an imaging device having an optical system 104 at N different positions z(1≤j≤N) determined at an interval of Δz in the optical axis direction of the optical system.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately estimate an image at any focus position.SOLUTION: An image estimation method estimates image data at a position z (z≤z≤z) in an optical axis direction from N pieces of image data, N is an integer not less than 2, by using arithmetic means where a maximum value of zis defined as zand a minimum value of zis defined as zfrom the image data of a subject acquired by using an imaging device having an optical system 104 at N different positions z(1≤j≤N) determined at an interval of Δz in the optical axis direction of the optical system 104. The image estimation method includes: an image conversion step of performing frequency conversion with respect to the N pieces of image data in the optical axis direction and calculating N pieces of conversion image data; and a combination step of calculating a frequency fcorresponding to the N pieces of conversion image data from zand z, multiplying the N pieces of conversion image data by complex numbers obtained from fand z with respect to the N pieces of conversion image data and summing up products.

TL;DR: In this article, a joint gap measurement method which uses a local binary pitting method is provided to measure a gap between bones, thereby providing a cause of an arthritis related bone disease and a treatment method thereof.
Abstract: PURPOSE: A joint gap measurement method which uses a local binary pitting method is provided to measure a gap between bones, thereby providing a cause of an arthritis related bone disease and a treatment method thereof. CONSTITUTION: An X-ray image is extracted. A boundary line of an image is clearly arranged using a nonlinear anisotropic distribution filter. A contour of a joint is extracted using a local binary pitting method from the X-ray image. The gap between bones is quantified by the contour of the joint. An image conversion step which arranges blurry contrast in a background image excluding the image of the boundary line is included in the above boundary line clarification step.

TL;DR: In this paper, a calibration method for performing gradation correction to the binary area gradation image using FM screening is provided with a step of estimating the number of dots or the average size of the dots per unit image of the standard binary area gradient image employing the FM screening.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calibration method and the like capable of specifying an image conversion condition excellent in the reproducibility of the density of a proofing object when the proofing object is created by DDCP by using binary area gradation images for printing by FM screening. SOLUTION: The calibration method for performing gradation correction to the binary area gradation image using the FM screening is provided with a step of estimating the number of dots or the average size of the dots per unit image of the standard binary area gradation image employing the FM screening; a step of estimating an effective dot area rate per unit image by using the output product of the binary area gradation image; and a step of calculating a correction amount of the binary area gradation image by using the number of dots or the average size of the dots and the effective dot area rate.
