TL;DR: In this article, a method for converting a two-dimensional image into a three-dimensional (3D) image using an image conversion apparatus comprises the steps of: receiving inputted depth information on an original image and setting; dividing the original image into individual parts and setting three dimensional information for each individual part.
Abstract: Disclosed are an image conversion method and apparatus. The method for converting a two-dimensional image into a three-dimensional image using an image conversion apparatus comprises the steps of: receiving inputted depth information on an original image and setting; dividing the original image into individual parts and setting three-dimensional information for each individual part; generating a first image by moving the original image using the three-dimensional information; receiving an inputted zero point for the original image and setting; generating a second image by moving the original image using the zero point; and generating a three-dimensional image by synthesizing the first and second images. Accordingly, a still image can be converted into a three-dimensional image.

27 Apr 1995TL;DR: In this paper, a color facsimile apparatus on a transmission side is used to encode and store color image information in accordance with a parameter which optimizes the picture quality, and an image conversion of the stored image information is executed.
Abstract: In a color facsimile apparatus on a transmission side, color image information is encoded and stored in accordance with a parameter which optimizes the picture quality A parameter regarding the picture quality of the color image information which a color facsimile apparatus on a reception side has is recognized and compared with the parameter of the color facsimile apparatus on the transmission side In accordance with the comparison result, an image conversion of the stored color image information is executed

TL;DR: In this article, a mathematical model for double-CCD stereoscopic system was set up according to geometrical imaging principle, and the relations among the distance between CCD and object, distance between double CCDs, and distance between eyes and screen were discussed in terms of image conversion.
Abstract: A mathematical model for doubleCCD stereoscopic system was set up according to geometrical imaging principle. The relations among the distance between CCD and object, the distance between double CCDs and the distance between eyes and screen are discussed in terms of image conversion. By using these relationships, the structure design of the doubleCCD stereoscopic systems may be directed.

TL;DR: In this paper, an image filter for performing a neighborhood operation is incorporated as a previous stage of a screen driving circuit, which realizes low pass filtering including space frequency limitation in the diagonal direction that is suitable for a display on the delta arrangement type screen.
Abstract: In order to reduce aliasing as much as possible in a display apparatus (100) that has a delta arrangement type screen (60), an image filter for performing a neighborhood operation is incorporated as a previous stage of a screen driving circuit (70). The image filter realizes low pass filtering including space frequency limitation in the diagonal direction that is suitable for a display on the delta arrangement type screen (60). Coefficients that constitute the filter matrix are optimised so that frequency components that exceed a Nyquist limit in the delta arrangement are suppressed. Coefficients that give optimal filter characteristics for any scale of filter matrix are defined by an expression.
