Abstract: The invention relates to the technical field of cloud computing, in particular to a method for generating virtual machine images from a legacy system. According to the method, a starting disk of a virtual machine image format conversion tool is placed in CD driver equipment of a physical machine where legacy application is located, and then the physical machine is restarted; a BIOS starting item is set after the physical machine is turned on, and the CD driver equipment is started; after the CD driver equipment is started, the disk partition where the legacy application is located is selected, and a path where generated target images are stored is input; a tool reads partitioned data according to blocks, and the partitioned data are compressed and written into target image documents; image generation is successful, the physical machine of the legacy application is restarted, the virtual machine image format conversion tool is taken out of the CD driver to start the disk; the generated image document is restored to the virtualization environment for operation. The method solves the problems that the system migration of legacy application is low in image conversion success rate and low in image conversion efficiency, and a image generating tool depends on detailed operation systems, and the like, and can be used for migrating various versions of legacy application operation systems into virtualization environments.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of reduction in encoding efficiency due to redundancy caused by independently encoding a luminance intra prediction mode and a color difference intra prediction mode.SOLUTION: A luminance intra prediction mode decoding section 901 decodes an in-screen prediction mode of a luminance component in a block to be decoded. A color difference intra prediction mode decoding section 903 decodes color difference prediction mode determining information specifying an in-screen prediction mode of a color difference component in a block to be decoded, refers to the in-screen prediction mode of the luminance component in the block to be decoded and obtains the in-screen prediction mode of the color difference component in the block to be decoded from the color difference prediction mode determining information. According to a block size of the luminance component, the color difference intra prediction mode decoding section 903 switches determination between whether the color difference prediction mode determining information shows a hand-over mode which directly hands over an in-screen prediction mode of a luminance component as an in-screen prediction mode of a color difference component or shows an image conversion mode which converts a decoded image of the luminance component for generating a prediction image of a color difference component.
